Introduction

An own leadership development plan is a strategy of action for the acquisition and mastering of primary skills. It helps individuals to assess their motivations, traits, and existing skills. It analyzes the cultural practices of the organization relative to that of the organization. The purpose of this personal development plan is to provide the reader with an in-depth analysis and transparent appraisal of my leadership straits (Dutta, 2010). The PDP will expose the readers with my professional skills and experience, my core values, my mission as a leader and my goals. The PDP will further enlighten the readers on my own social media plan, strengths, weaknesses, and competencies.

Professional skills and experience

I am a 26-year old graduate having attained a degree in business and therefore eligible for working in business-related organizations. The university equipped me with a high level of professionalism and the code of conduct while working as an employee. I was working in a middle level-company while pursuing my course at the university. The organization developed my experiences as a leader in how to motivate your employees. It equipped me with managerial skills and the integration of vertical downward communication when delegating duties. Working in the company was also crucial to improve my knowledge on application of technology of the website in marketing products (Henry, 2012). I, therefore, have expert knowledge and skills in using social media and other media platforms to market products of the company. My profession encompasses the use of information technology while serving customers. Therefore, I have the skills of big data management through the use of Information Technology. According to trait leadership theory, good leaders should have a wide range of intellectual, psychological, and demographic-related skills (Dutta, 2010). To be successful as a leader, I will thus encompass my strengths, interest in the firm, and integration of my skills. The communication skills will also serve to be effective in managing and motivating my employees.

 

Core values

Being my 26th year, I have always worked on practising positive core values to facilitate my success. The people around me practice dependability in my decision-making skills, which justifies my effective leadership. The core value of integrity is evident through my ability to effectively complete my studies and portray the best grades in the entire course. The integrity is also evident the ability to employ the existing environment in solving problems in the company. The accountability in my duty is another fundamental core value which I acquired while working as a student. The accountability is an important core value depicted on transparency and effective output in my duties. This core value of accountability is crucial in making me more reliable and a central asset for the success of any firm. On my disciplinary measures, I depict a high-level discipline to managers and employees working in the same firm. My discipline is celebrated since I was a kindergarten student when I earned an award of being disciplined in school. While working, I justified measures of discipline for balancing both academics and work without failing any. I justified discipline through early arrival at work and practising all the standards required by the organization. Discipline has also enacted the value of perseverance in me and thus making me continue working regardless of the difficult situation. While enhancing perseverance, I enhance persistent and careful effort, which signifies my diligence. My effectiveness as a leader is also evident through the ability to practice commitment, consistency and honesty in my duties. Generally, I have a vast background of core values which drive me as a leader.

Personal mission

My mission as a leader is to increase the sales capacity of the organization. I optimize the sales of an organization by motivating the employees. I motivate employees through the provision of an effective platform for raising their concerns and facilitating good listening skills. The motivation also emanates from my ability to provide incentives for the extrinsic motivation of employees. Integration and use of technology is a vital aspect of increasing the sales of an organization. The application of website and mobile app helps me to pass important information to customers of the organization. The optimization of sales, in this case, comes from customer satisfaction and loyalty. The satisfaction of customers originates understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of the firm and its leadership. The knowledge of changing tastes and preferences is also vital in achieving the mission of the organization. The use of technological and social media platform plays a central role in facilitating the understanding of the knowledge of the environment. The website is crucial in the provision of contacts of the customer purchase characteristics. The information from the website, in this case, allows me as the leader to decide the distribution of products to various parts. The information is also crucial in the production sector on the quality and the number of products to be produced. The application of technology, therefore, plays a central role in enhancing the mission of optimizing sales.

Goals

My goal as a leader is to retain 95% of the organization’s talented employees. The hiring process involves enhancing employee satisfaction is my top goal in my first year of working with an organization. The attainable goal of retaining employees serves to help me as a leader maintain the organization’s culture. The goal is usually bound within the first year of entry into a company since this is when the organization’s culture is likely to be eroded. I measure my goal of retaining 95% of the most talented staff through a calculation at the end of the year. Retaining of the organization’s employees reduces the training costs and thus maximizing profits (Heimans, & Timms, 2019). The retaining of the company’s staff plays a central role to increase sales through the availability of background experience in the market. The strategy is important to meet my mission as a leader and the attainment of the goals of the company. The goal of retaining 95% of the staff is reliable since I employ effective listening skills and motivation of staff. The integration of these strategies, therefore, sees no loss of the best employees quit my leadership. The goal is, therefore, achievable since I have adequate professional skills and experience which drive me to attain the goals (Dutta, 2010). Retaining this fraction of staff in a year will imply maximum production, distribution, and selling of products. My goals are, therefore, relevant and reliable for firms seeking success.

The personal social media plan

The integration of social media is my central skills to attaining my goals for the company. The social media platforms help to the acquisition of market demand which dictates supply by the company. Social media platforms such as Facebook also enable the provision of feedback information which helps to understand customer tastes and preferences (Henry, 2012). My experience of social media is also vital in helping the creation of awareness of the product in the market. In this case, social media will integrate online website in marketing the company’s products. Therefore, I can use social media to meet my goals as a leader and that of the organization.

Conclusion

This personal leadership plan has provided in-depth literature of my leadership strengths and weaknesses. My experience in the private management leadership plan is a masterpiece for the success of a company. My professional skills and expertise acquired in the university are vital to driving an organization to greater heights. The managerial skills and motivation of employees will be crucial in the optimization of profits for the organization. My core values are assets to help in the management of employees to facilitate quality products and services. They have granted a mission of maximizing sales and thus gaining a competitive advantage in the market (Dutta, 2010). My goal of retaining 95% of the employees will also enable maintaining the culture and maximizing sales.
