Personality Profile
Personality profile and insight are crucial factors one has to consider when choosing the best organization to work for. The traits one possess direct the person to whether the organization is ideal or not. Personality profile does not only apply when one is looking for an organization to work for but also in the current organization they may be working. The reason being one may be working in an organization that does not fit them, and therefore the best option is to leave. Consequently, it is crucial to the attributes one is bringing to an organization, the communication style, leadership style and how they will handle conflict in the organization.
Positive And Negative Attributes Attribute
Among the positive attribute I will bring to the organization is being a person who can take charge and political skills. In my opinion, these attributes will be crucial to the organization I will be venturing into. Taking charge means I am the leader of the team. I will be assigned to my work. A person who is in charge does not view anything as impossible. Anything that is challenging is an opportunity to handle the challenge and come up with a solution that will benefit the organization.
The next positive attribute I will be bringing into the organization is political skills. These skills are from my traits of socializing with people and communication connections that I make. With this attribute I tend to fix all the problems I encounter and where I am in no position to fix I call others with the skill to fix due to the connection created as a result of political attributes.
The negative skill I possess is communication. I am the type of person who expect others to know what I mean even without explanation. That has been the only hindrance since, in an organization, clear communication is required. Clear communication in an organization ensure there more productivity, efficiency and collaboration.
Communication Style
For me, I would like an organization that promotes a straight forward communication style. The style removes all the unnecessary explanation and dwells on the main point. Such communication is task-oriented and only concentrates on the task at hand, making it the priority. Straight forward communication style yield results through increase urgency on duty; therefore, the production becomes efficient and effective (Zellman, 2019). Straight forward style allows only for logic explanation to an event that has transpired and has no room for unnecessary chitchats.
Leadership
The leadership of an organization is crucial when determining if one should join the company. For me, I would like to enter into an organization that has a team leader who values the team members and is keen on ensuring as they grow the company they are also developing personally. Such a leader has organizational skills and trust the team members to perform exceptionally with little or no supervision. Such a leader empowers the employees by delegating tasks giving them authority and freedom to complete their duty and lead others. A team leader is also equipped with negotiating skills to ensure any conflict that may arise in the company or organization is solved (Scott, 2019).
Conflicts
In any organization, there will arise conflict due to the nature of the interactions available. To me, in any organization that I work in, I would like to be treated like the other employees. That is no favour should be granted to me that other employees do not receive. In an organization where I am treated with favour may make me become less innovative and reduce productivity. The reason being I am so emotional, and in my previous organization, I worked with my husband, who when I got nervous I could turn to forgetting that at work he is my boss and not my husband. Therefore to reduce the chances of any recurrence of such situations or to avoid conflict, I would want a company that would treat me equal as other employees.
Conflict can also arise when I am working in the dark. That is following orders without knowing what I am doing. Knowing what I am doing ensures that I can change what I see is wrong. Therefore the organization that fits me should be in a position to explain tasks and why it is being done in a particular procedure.
Leadership Style
The organization that fits me should foster an environment where working together is the only way to achieve better results. That kind of leadership is called collaboration leadership style. In such form, the task and relationship is well defined; therefore, the tasks, goals, objective and success is based on how the parties work together. That way, the success of the company becomes the success of everyone.
Values
I would want an organization that upholds honesty. That is in everything done in the company; there is transparency. In such an organization, I will perfectly fit since I have the same values, and I grew believing ideal truth and honesty are the key to the success of any organization or individual.
Finally, it is essential to note that the ideal company for me should uphold the attributes I possess, a straight forward communication style, involving leader with a working together mentality and the organization should maintain honesty and transparency culture. With those conditions, the company will be fit for me to be associated with.
