Personality type test

Question 1

From the list, I had undertaken six tests mentioned below.

  1. Personality type test

I think the test results are somewhat accurate. However, after taking the test, I would like to work on my preference over feelings rather than reasons only.

  1. Entrepreneur Quiz

As per the results, my personality type is suitable for a large scale business. The results may be accurate in light of the fact that I have an inclined interest in business ventures.

  1. Jung Marriage Test

Based on the personality test scores, this test analyzes the stability for a long term marriage.

  1. Political Performance Indicator

The test results seem to be somewhat inaccurate as I consider to be more rationally driven. However, the scoring of the Political Performance Indicator appears to be in range.

  1. Visionary-pragmatist quiz

The test results seem to be accurate after reading out the explanation of what the differences between the two types of individuals are.

  1. Risk profiler

As mentioned already, I have a rational approach, and the test results are accurate.

Impact of these personality dimensions on work and personal relations

Every personality trait is intertwined and has an overall impact sphere of our lives (“Personality test based on Jung and Briggs Myers typology”, 2020). Each of the tests undertaken above specifies valuable information about my personality. The introverted nature may often have a negative impact on work spheres and personal relationships as refraining from clear expression may incur issues. However, it is something that must be worked on in addition to the many other personality dimensions for self-improvement.

Question 2:

  1. Any individual would seek a relaxed working environment in addition to benefits and perks. The work culture in Google promotes all of that, paving the way for increased innovation. Google offers an increased acceptance for employee interaction through a variety of approaches, thus giving them the chance to polish their skills and test out their abilities at all points. The employees can be on continuous growth while serving the organization. Free meals, snacks, transport are just a few of the basic benefits that everyone working at Google is entitled with (“Google is the number one best place to work – Jan. 8, 2007”, 2007). Also, the employees are treated with respect. In all, Google offers the best working environment that an individual can want.
  2. There are specific cultures that are practised inside Google. They optimize the lunch lines to 3-4 minutes enabling employees to meet new ones while preventing time waste. The lunch tables are made long to promote interaction. Google offers five months of paid maternity leaves, increasing retention of new mothers. Greeting the employees, diner booths, managerial discussions, etc. also enhance the working culture in Google. Some of the exclusive things that the Google employees can enjoy include doing laundry at Google, dry cleaning drop off, oil change and car washing, gym access, massage services, opportunity to study foreign languages such as Spanish, Japanese, and many more. The organization is always bent upon helping the employees to upgrade themselves.
  3. As mentioned already, Google offers a lot of perks and benefits to their employees. Every Google employee can have breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks for free. The food is organic and prepared by the in-house chef. They also enjoy free dental and healthcare facilities. Some of the unique perks include free haircuts, massages at subsidized rates, swimming pools, subsidized hybrid cars, ability to enjoy video games and other games, and many more (“Inside Google’s Culture of Success and Employee Happiness”, 2020). All these perks can significantly motivate the employees, thus helping them to improve productivity and bring in innovation.
  4. The performance of an organization is entirely dependent upon the workplace culture, perks and benefits offered, and motivation among the employees. Google pays extravagant attention to ensuring that all of its employees enjoy their work. A good workplace culture makes it easier for employees to concentrate on their work. The perks and benefits motivate them to work harder while increasing employee retention. Google has significantly improved its performance based on the factors mentioned above.

Question 3:

  1. Office politics is one of the unavoidable evils in the workplace. One of the other employees start creating a division among the departments or even within the team, and then the poison goes on. However, it may be possible to avoid all such office politics fights if one tries to maintain neutrality and positive grounds with other members of the organization. The article provides valuable information on how to stay away from being a victim of politics by maintaining a good relationship with the other employees, trying to mend conflicts, being friendly even with the ones who are annoying, helping others, participating in positive gossips, and many more (Lovejoy, 2012). These tips can be useful to stay away from office politics to a great extent.
  2. Political tactics can be used by anyone at any level to manipulate things as they want. Be it an individual or the organization, and political tactics can be used to obtain goals. However, it is more common at the organizational level than at the individual level. It is especially because the organization has more influence over the target than an individual can have over the same target.
