Policy implementation steps
One of the policies that can be implemented in an organization to include mergers is the cell phone use policy. An example of these policies is that the employees should not use their cellphones during their working hours. To enhance effective implementation of this policy, the organization may set a rule that any employee found using his or her phone during working hours will be subjected to disciplinary actions such as suspension and salary cuts. This policy on banning the employees use their cell phones during working hours will help in curbing the challenge of loss of productive time as a result of the employees using their gadgets at a time when they are expected to be productive and fully concentrate on the work. As a result, the organization in subject may have its productivity increased.
The other cell phone use policy that can be implemented at the place of work is that no one should use his cell phone while walking or driving (Flynn, 2012). The implementation of this policy can be done by setting CCTV cameras at strategic places with the aim of monitoring cell phone usage among the employees. This policy on restricting the use of mobile phones while walking or driving will positively impact the organization in the sense that there will be reduced liabilities that may be associated with accidents at the workplace.
Last but not least, the other cell phone use policy is that the employees should only be allowed to use their cell phones during break time and lunch hour (Flynn, 2012). This will help in boosting their morale to work as they will be able to have a settled mindset especially when such usage helps them connect with their family members. The policy of allowing the employees to use their cell phones at a time when they are not working will lead to increased productivity.
