Question One

In “Psychosexual Theory of Development,” a person’s character develops during their initial childhood years, as stated by Freud (1856–1939). The behaviour and personalities of a person at adult stages are by the experiences they gained when still children. As a specialist in psychiatric field I agree with these since we have met adult who still behave like children and this clear shows the environment they grew in. Erikson grabbed Freud’s concept and improved it to the psychosocial model. It stresses on social, natural surroundings of human growth contrary to Freud’s sexual nature (Beckett & Taylor, 2019). Erikson says that human mode of interaction and with whom they associate determines a person’s sense of identity. Piaget (1896–1980), also carried out a study which derives Cognitive development theory. In this theory, Piaget emphasizes that cognitive capabilities cultivate via definite phases, which demonstrates the incoherence approach to growth.

Question Two

In Freud’s and Erikson’s thoughts of learning, their primary focus is on the sociological and psychological concepts of learning.  These psychodynamic methodologies compare character with unseen procedures, which is contrary to the learning methodologies emphasizing only on visible actions. With my working experience and the training skills acquired in a training conducted by Mental Health First Aid USA as observed in the picture above, I confidently handle patients with trauma-related and drug/substance abuse conditions professionally. I have witnessed trauma-causing events can pose adverse challenges in treatment arrangement, appointment, and the result of social healthiness services. The extent of these events may be understated, deceptive, or absolute caustic. These events have caused emotional irregularities such as irritation, nervousness, unhappiness, and disgrace amongst the survivors. Numbing is another experience when a person is affected by these events (Berzoff & Drisko, 2015). The affected person also experiences slumber strife, muscle strain, and minor inception for alarm reactions, and it can continue ages after the occurrence of the incidence.

According to Vygotsky’s notion, the zone of proximal development refers to a standard of growth achieved when students take part in social behaviour. For this theory to come to fulfilment, students must aggressively intermingle socially with a well-informed grown-up or proficient peers (Karimi-Aghdam, 2017). Therefore, an open-minded person seeking to developmentally must associate jointly with the skilled or educators who will sharpen on the knowledge they currently possess.

Theological agenda for human development concerning Christian mission is one of the emerging topics in nurturing growth and development. Mission work converts unfair circumstances to fair ones. By preaching the gospel where people accept Jesus in their lives, make another move in shaping the person’s character and further installing maturity in them.

Through my experience and trainings undertaken, I discovered most people around the world have consumed prohibited drugs and substances. The affected people narrate using these substances for pleasure, stress reduction, and just for entertainment. After using these substances for a while, the users become hooked up. Sometimes people engage in kind of behaviours since they have inherited it genetically from fore family members. It explains the genetic theory of addiction (Nutt, Lingford-Hughes, Erritzoe & Stokes, 2015). Non-spoken statements contain the way someone converses the message via body languages, like maintaining eye connection, expressions on the face, manners, and tone. Listening is keenly hearing and appreciating whatever a person is speaking and discerning over the meaning (DeVito, 2019). Problem-solving and intervention abilities call for characters to work affectionately with each other to achieve a result. Communication can also be through writing (letters, emails, texts, notes). No matter form of communication you choose to be comfortable with, interpersonal communication ensures that the world goes around.

Question Three

In the world, there comes a time when one lacks that forces to seek assistance from the other. In everyone’s life, there is that one person who gives an ear and tries to put themselves in your shoes. Meaning they are approachable, quick to understand, and ready to provide help. This kind of person portrays empathic listening. In health, a time comes when we cannot accomplish some tasks alone, we always have that one approachable colleague whom we seek assistance.

Question Four

Having served as a leader in the health sector, one need to have good understanding skills for good service delivery. Empathic listening is whereby a person gives other people a channel for their sentiments earlier before opening up, airing their involvements, and accepting fresh viewpoints on the troubling issue being the cause of emotional anguish (Parks, 2015).
