Prison facilities
Prison facilities experiment with the adverse impact of infectious disease. This is heightened due to limited access to preventive measures. Certain models such as Dynamic models have been applied in the past to assess the spread as well as the control of the disease within prison facilities. The models center on the prison-based screening, and treatment offered to prisoners to reduce the impact of transmission of such infections. Additionally, decreasing the rate of incarceration had been projected as an approach to reduce HCV and HIV infections among prisoners. Hence, dynamic models offer quantitative evidence as a measure to control infections in prisons.
