Professional Standards in Specialty Areas of Interest
The introduction part is fascinating and satisfactory. The author introduces the purpose of the research and cites for further researchers. It allows us to understand better what the research is all about by stating clearly the thesis statement of the research. Through this introduction, I have gained a glimpse into the factors affecting the nursing professional roles and practice level. However, the author did not state the hypothesis and research question. In future, the author needs to speculate what we expect to achieve throughout the studies and questions that the studies should answers.
The main article body is impressive and very educative. Upon reading the first paragraph, I was able to gain a deep understanding of how nurses should apply advanced knowledge, skills, and abilities to improve their competency in the selected clinical speciality. In line with my professional career, this paragraph developed my mindset and challenged me on what is required of me to be a successful clinician in the United States. Similarly, I have been encouraged with the way the author describes a nurse and patients relationship. Being able to listen to customer need and providing to meet their request is not the solution in the medical sector, a nurse needs to evaluate the situation and conditions and advice the patients accordingly on what best to order to help improve their conditions. This may help patients who are on overdose as a result of carelessness or incompetence from other people.
Nonetheless, the information concerning the professional standards that require knowledge of 3P’S and the practice standards in ambulatory care nursing is unsatisfactory. The author needs to conduct further research on the 3P’s and relate it with the professional standards. Finally, the conclusion does not summarize and recommend what should be done in future for the betterment of clinical performance.

The introduction of this post is unsatisfactory; the author introduces the topic statement but fails to inform readers what the research is about. Even though the author defines key terms to be used in the main body, I feel that he can be improved by providing, thesis, research questions and hypothesis. Nonetheless, I have gained knowledge on how professional standards helps improve the accountability if nurses through the provision of practice framework. Secondly, this research is fascinating and educating. After reading this article, I have gained a deep understanding of Geriatric Medicine. Being that I have been waiting for the opportunity to advance my knowledge on this topic, this article served me right. The author supports the research with virtual examples which makes the topic memorable. The author outlines different programs that are useful in the field of Geriatric Medicine. The research instructs people on the expected outcomes and their implications. Lastly, the conclusion is very informative. The conclusion summarizes the research and directs remind the author of the possible application of practice standards that entails self- assessment. The article stresses the importance of self-assessment to improve the performance and competency in clinical practices. This research has improved my cognitive skills and social, emotional skills by reviewing different care model. However, the author needs to tell us more about the evidence-based approaches. I feel it is an area which has not been explained accordingly.
