Program Development and Evaluation.
It is quite unfortunate that the class is coming to an end. I enjoyed all topics, especially on administrative supervision, as well as program development in program design. According to Cruz (2020), organizations can equip their departments with vibrant leaders who can come up with innovative and creative ideas to steer the company to full potential. However, they have been situations in which employees could not identify evaluative elements essential to a leadership development program. Whereas most of the content covered in this class was relevant, I feel like we should have covered more on program development and evaluation.
It is very critical that an actual plan is developed before carrying out program design. Program design involves the process of learning about the new environment and new experience. After that, organizations can conceptualize change and adapt to new program activities that can bring out the desired goals. According to Taylor (2019), the use of logic models is a new approach to joining program activities to desired outcomes. Besides, the best way to ensure an organization’s success is by matching the right logic model with the program’s theory of change. Recent surveys have shown that logic models enhance the performance of programs. Although most organizations seem slow to adopt change in their program development strategies, logic models are the comprehensive framework to improve results.
In conclusion, I would like to introduce to the class Instructional Design. This design is based on the theme that program activities should be developed in favor of participants who understand the ideas and skills needed for effective change. Most of the content is about educational activities that have an actual impact on the lives of each employee. All in all, organizations are encouraged to follow this approach in efforts to bring change in the programs. Not only will they elevate to international status but also thrive in the industry.
