Project Title: Development of a Reservation-Booking App for UAE Football Stadiums
Purpose: The main scope of the project is to provide fans and athletes, including football players, with the opportunity to use the available football fields in the UAE. The reason is due to the growing popularity of the sport in UAE provided by the several football stadiums across the region. The development of the Reservation-Booking App will provide the platform to access any field according to the contractual agreement with the owners of the football fields.
Description: The project has numerous milestones to achieve its overall objective of developing the App for access by football fans and athletes. The first milestone will be the acquisition of a contractual agreement with the football stadium owners. The approval will pave the way for deliberations on how to acquire the required services for the development of the App alongside the software. An RFP (Request for Proposal) shall be provided under extensive deliberations on the qualification, expertise and experience of the software developing contractor. Alongside this, the project shall also embark on the photography and survey of the football fields around in UAE which shall be Mapped out on the App. The synchronized activities will be conducted simultaneously to ensure that all perspectives are achieved. Primarily, the project will have to cater to the financial funding of the contractors which shall be gathered from the parent business. Evaluation of the project milestones shall be done in intervals regarding the financial budget maintenance or over-expenditure and achievement of each deliverable.
Objective: the objective of the project is to design, develop and deliver a software App that is Reservation-Booking based to access the football fields that have been leased to the business by the owners.
Success Criteria: the implementation of the Reservation-Booking App will allow fans and football athletes to access the football stadiums for various purposes, either leisure or professionally. Overall, the objective is to encourage improved sportsmanship in the region.
Funding: the total cost of the project is estimated at Dirham 663 850.00. It will include all the expenses regarding project management, including the contractors, travel expenses and salaries. It is estimated that the software contractors will cost Dirham 300 000.00 while software licensing will amount Dirham 116 000.00.
Major Deliverables: the software contractor will have to present, design, develop, run a pilot test and roll-out the App on behalf of the business. It will include periodic reports about any software issues from the feedback from the potential clients and the solutions used. The photography contractor will have to present high-quality definition pictures of the football stadiums. The project manager will have to submit the contractual agreement with the football stadiums, including the leasing period and expected expenses.
Acceptance criteria: The App has to satisfy the software guidelines for the platforms including iPhone and Google Playstore concerning privacy, payment options and development requirements to suit the software. Also, the App has to satisfy the software licenses for development and deployment according to the UAE standards. For the business, the App has to fulfil the objective, vision and mission of the company concerning the goal to achieve within the App including ease of use and outreach to the potential clients on multiple platforms.

Key Assumptions: the primary assumption is that the App development will be successfully launched within the timeline provided. Another hypothesis is that the App will be accessible within all platforms apart from Android and iPhone.
Constraints: Software license may be a constraint for the project. There are specific licenses to acquire both from Google Play Store and iPhone App Store. In addition to this, the legalities in acquiring a software license in UAE may also require more time.
Significant Risks: intellectual property rights concerning software development and license agreement. Keen interest has to be incorporated when dealing with photographers as well. The business must take ownership of all the work irrespective of If there is need to including credits.
Approval Requirements: all project milestones have to be approved by the business executives, along with the project manager. It includes deliverables on App use and ease of access.
Project Manager: the assigned project manager is based on qualifications and expertise in handling projects of such caliber.
Reporting Requirements: the project manager will require timely reports that are written and verbally presented using PowerPoint presentation to elaborate on the deliverables, limitations and any issues encountered by each stakeholder.
