Project Management in Nursing Informatics
Advanced nurse practitioner requires the application of project management ideas, which are a significant component of nursing informatics (NI). Project management can be applied as a cath lab nurse. An APN faced with a difficult circumstance or progressing issue in the cath lab will be entrusted to create and project to locate a suitable solution.
Sipe (2016) argues that project management impacts all regions of Nursing Informatics abilities, and gives an arranging system to procedures, and skills such as design, planning, execution, development, and assessment (Sipes, 2016). The cath lab is utilized for routine cardiovascular catheterizations to examine the etiology of a patient’s heart condition. The cath lab is also utilized under developing conditions where time is basic, and the nature of the imaging and translation must be brilliant.
As a cath lab medical caretaker, if I see an issue in our practices that should be settled to provide quick, and superb imaging and understanding, I should be prepared to start and lead a project to find the solution (Harris et al, 2015). I will investigate the issue at hand and will use NI to apply the most present and pertinent information. Settling issues in the cath lab are vital for guaranteeing that every patient’s heart imaging can be finished appropriately, and with the aptitudes expected to advance a positive result for the patient (Sipes, 2016). Cath lab resources, particularly the people expected to work the cath lab, are crucial for tending to the requirements of patients. The cath lab medical nurse’s skills with project management and NI can have a critical effect in whether such ventures are productive, based on suitable information, and yield positive results for the lab and the patients.
