Cons:
- Cost of Land: The person who wants to have a factory build home must own land as this type of home needs to be erected on open land only. This is an additional requirement and creates a lot of trouble in choosing the same. Owning land is an expensive process and requires cost, time, and thorough analysis and legal formalities. If you already own land, you can get a home build on it by the factory; otherwise, one needs to purchase the land before the construction. Purchasing the same can be troublesome work for some people.
- Up-Front Payment: Loans are available for these types of homes. But one needs to pay the down payment first and rest in installment for construction before moving in the home. Before buying and putting up a factory-build home, this up-front payment is considered as an important one to the cost. Hence while going for it, one needs to consider this point well.
- Utilities offered: The greatest disadvantage of this type of home is arranging the utilities and other details of the site. Electricity, water connection, and other facilities are to be checked.
