Programs like Baby Einstein videos have a chance at catching a child’s attention, however children below two years are more likely to learn and recall information presented in a live presentation rather than in the form of a video. Regularly reading books to children, on the other hand, will boost their lingual ability. Concentrating on proven ways that promote the development of infants such as singing, talking, playing and smiling is more reliable than the DVDs if learning is the primary goal.
Although a baby may not understand what you say when speaking directly or get the grasp of the story told, he or she will absorb all the words meant and roister in the attention given. Such simple activities create the foundation for thought and speech in the child with emotional health as a bonus. This fact does not, however, mean that Baby Einstein DVDs should stay off limits. If the child and the rest of the family enjoys the programs, there is no harm in watching. The key note is having an understanding of the actual effects and not oversetting expectations. A parent may go further and use the show as an interaction moment by watching it together with the baby.

During the sound development period, babies listen intently to humans when spoken to and take statistics. Two different sets of babies were placed in two separate learning forums without humans in the exercise. One set had twelve sessions over television, the other had the same course though this time on audio, with a teddy bear image on the screen. Results showed that learning did not take place for either of the babies. Therefore, Baby Einstein videos may not be practical for learning purposes since babies require human beings to make learning statistics. The social side of the brain directs when a baby takes in statistics.
