This review is about the brochure titled “Surf in One Lesson,” and it aims to find out whether it meets the requirements for excellent promotional material. The publication seeks to achieve several goals. Specifically, it aims to inform and persuade its audience. It aims to inform the audience about some specific components of the programs offered by the agency. It outlines several activities and experiences, such as family fun, memorable experience, surfing classes, among others. The brochure is informative and helps the audience to get a better understanding of the agency and its programs. It also aims to persuade the audience to visit their premises by outlining how their programs are secure and taught by experienced and instructors. It assures the reader of a quality experience about their programs.
The strengths of the publication are that it is simple and clear to understand. The language used in the brochure is simple, convincing and persuasive. It creates a desire for the audience to want to try their programs. Besides, it uses appropriate graphics that give the audience a glimpse of the program even before visiting. Lastly, it does not use so many words. It has only included the necessary information, which is sufficient to convince a potential client to visit its facilities.
The only shortcoming of the brochure is that it has used some huge font on some of its headlines. That makes is it appear unattractive and less appealing. It can be improved by using appropriate font and colour for the wording. Despite it having all the necessary information and using the right language, its organization and appearance are not appealing. If its organization is improved, the publication would be more effective.
