Suicide is associated with different thoughts and behaviors acquired from an individual’s lifestyle and has become a major problem in both the community and our health facilities. People in the working bracket may face conditions like low pay and bad working conditions, which leads to the workers being unsatisfied. The ability not to meet their different lifestyle goals and desires threatens their mental wellbeing, and suicidal thoughts may cross the more often than, the better conditioned working population. Losing a job, which was the major source of income, affects the ability to access a person’s lifestyle needs. Debriefing is important for workers under stressful conditions to express the challenges they face and get assisted.
Continued drug abuse leads to addiction, which in turn may lead to depression. Inability to access the drug of choice increases the chance of mental instability, and overdose may occur when the addict gets access to the drug. Pressure from your peers, existing mental conditions, an individual’s genetic makeup, history of a family with addiction, and use of a drug substance from a young age are reasons that may increase addiction chances. Failure to recognize the developed mental instability and seek medical assistance may increase suicidal thoughts and suicide chances.
Prisoners who have been pardoned may find it hard to adapt to the new life changes. For example, individuals who have served a long jail time may have lost most of their possessions, family, friends, and society may view them as outcasts. A sense of rejection may develop may this increases their chances of committing suicide. In the new era, social media has resulted in lifestyle imitation. Failure to match the lifestyle portrayed by some of the role models affects self-esteem and causes a lot of mental pressure, increasing suicide cases.
