Rajma National Park
Rajma National Park is a protected area located in the south of Tripoli and Murqib within Jabal al Gharbi in Libya. Unlike other national parks found in Libya, such as El-Kouf found along the coastline, Rajma national park is located in a landlocked district. Therefore, it does not enjoy the vast coastal diversity. However, it has beautiful landscapes, vast wildlife, and agricultural activities that you will be enthralled to see.
Within the Rajma National Park is the Abughlian area, famous for its beautiful Nufasa mountain ranges. One of the dominant views here is the lovely mountain views, dunes, rocky hills, desert terrains, and beautiful trees across the Park. The Rajma National Park has a wide variety of desert plants. Among the many plants you will notice in this area includes the date palms, olive trees, and figs that mainly do well even in the desert climate. The Rajma area receives an annual rainfall of (410 mm). With the Sahara Desert climate and extremely low rainfall, grasslands are the dominant vegetation here.
If you enjoy seeing or learning, and filming reptiles, Rajma is home to a wide range of species snakes, lizards, and different types of rodents. Additionally, as you tour this Park, you will enjoy watching desert mammals such as hyenas, gazelles, foxes, and wild cats, which are quite common here. You should not expect to see big safari mammals here as the vegetation cannot sustain them.
Rajma National Park is a great place to tour, not just sightseeing, but there is a lot to learn from the Park. The protected area of Rajma is suitable for family vacations, or friend groups travel.
