Recommendation letter
I am delighted to offer my unreserved recommendation for Dr Sabina M. Lee, MD, FACP, Associate Professor in Medicine, and Texas State Licensed, for the award— Women of Excellence.
I have known Dr. Lee for the last eight years working with her as her immediate supervisor. She is a talented, completely trustworthy and extremely compassionate to female veterans, and she devotes her full attention to each female veteran and juggles other tasks flawlessly. As such, I would love to put up Dr. Lee, my mentor and friend, for this Women of Excellence award.
Sabina’s ability to work smoothly with a culturally, racially, economically, and gender and diverse female veteran population, allows her to integrate socially and culturally responsive and appropriate evidence-based practices when working with veterans and their families. Since, the Women of Excellence Awards Committee is seeking to award the best candidate who has demonstrable leadership in addressing diversity, equity and inclusion beyond their generally anticipated scope of responsibilities as a staff, faculty, trainee or student, Dr. Lee is the wisest choice for you.
Dr. Lee is a very thoughtful and kind Associate Professor. She interacts extremely well with patients and staff, as well as other professors and alumni. Over the years, she has developed such a rapport with students, patients, they often ask for him by name! One cannot help but notice her initiative and self-motivation. Sabina has an inherent enthusiasm that drives her to get involved. She is a reliable team player who had always stepped up to when we needed extra help during this COVID-19 pandemic. To the core, Sabina is hardworking, knowledgeable, and loving clinician, which speaks to her level of interest regarding veteran healthcare.
Given Dr. Lee’s remarkable drive, work ethic, and determination to make a difference in veteran patients’ lives, I am encouraging the Baylor committee to nominate Dr. Lee as the beneficiary of the Women of Excellence award. It would be a blessing to see such a committed clinician, scholar and a medical star receive the coveted Women of Excellence Awards.
