Communication is how two or more persons exchange ideas, emotions, opinions, facts, and thoughts. On the other hand, business communication entails passing information from the sender to the receiver within a business context. Business communication is significant because it enhances the promotion of business products and services. Business communications employ different models in managing interactions within the organization. One of the commonly used models is the Customer relationship management model, which modulates interactions between business clients, customers, and sales prospects. The concept of business communications encompasses various ideas, including public relations, consumer behavior, corporate communications, advertising, event management, research and measurement, and reputation management. My strengths in business communications lie in the corporate communication part. I have learned that effection communication within a business is the most critical skill needed for business success. In today’s business world, great minds generate great ideas for business success and bring new inventions that can change lives. Effective corporate communication can attract potential clients and customers into the business. To develop an effective business communication strategy, one should consider integrating concepts such as stating the right goals. My strengths in this course lie in a clear statement of business goals to facilitate communication strategy development and enhance its effectiveness. Another approach that I learn to make strength is the ability to acquaint with my audience. Alongside the focus on setting clear goals, understanding the target audience and their needs is an essential task that requires interest alignment between the business and the audience. However, I have a few weaknesses in developing an effective corporate communication strategy, which involves creating an emotional connection with my audience. I need to do more research on how to connect with my audience emotionally in the future. I intend to use knowledge learned in business communication to develop humanity’s sense to serve audience appeal. In building an emotional connection with my audience, I will need to concentrate more on consumers, especially from the millennial generation, whose consumer behaviors are more associated with emotions.
