Reflective essay.
It is a process to start and come to an end of the research from the time of choosing the topic to the time of submitting the research. This is a reflective essay explaining all the steps I followed from the proposal to the final essay. It is an explanation of how I accomplished the research progress from start to the end. After receiving the instructions on my research, I started by choosing the topic which was appropriate and with an impact on people’s daily lives. Since there have been significant effects of the use of the internet on the way people carry out their activities, that prompted me to write a proposal on the importance of the internet in our daily lives. In the proposal, I explained my intention concerning my research project, which was to give an argument that social media can be of significance to our lives. I also explained the methods to be used in the research to find out how the internet is of importance to our daily lives. In the proposal, I gave a rhetorical context which suggests how social media users are affected by the stereotypes on the internet, and it makes people have negative attitudes on the internet. I also outlined what I will be researching on. I stated that in my research, I would research on why the internet is regarded as toxic, yet many internet users seem to benefit.
After writing the proposal on what I am going to research on, I searched for the best sources to use for my research project. I outline various sources which would be of help in my research. Some of the sources is an article by Denissen on how the internet is changing the implication of traditional research methods. I discided to use this as the primary source in my research project since it gives the merits and demerits of using internet-based versions of traditional methods. The article also points out related ethical concerns like privacy and anonymity. The article has reliable information important in my research, and that made me go for it. I evaluated and summarized the key sources that are helpful like the article by Denissen, Linus and Maarten’s on how the internet is changing the implication of traditional research methods. This article concludes that web research will continue to upsurge, and it may lead to more adverse consequences if this growth is not canalized. This was useful to me since I got a lot of information on my research in this article. Evaluation and summary of the sources were necessary and assisted me in knowing the best sources for my research. By summarising the sources, I was still getting more information about my topic, and that gave me the idea of what to discuss in my research. It was so challenging to find the best sources for my project since there are so many sources, but finally, I arrived at the sources which I considered the best for my research. In my study I used various articles where I derived information, I also interacted with the people where I asked them how the internet is of benefit to their daily lives, and I analysed their points for the research completion. I experienced some challenges when collecting data to the public where some people gave harsh responses that were not helpful lack of funds to use in collecting data over a more significant area and shortages of resources like books on my topic.
The next step was coming up with the research discussion on the importance of the internet to our daily lives. In this stage, this is where I discussed and gave the main points to the significance of the internet to our daily lives. In my final research, I have explained the significant aspects that I have analyzed from the data I collected in the articles and from the people. In my opinion, I have done my best since the start of my project to the end, and I have highlighted the importance of the internet to people’s lives in my final essay. This process fro the beginning to the end of the research has made me more a step higher in writing and improving my writing skills. This is necessary in case of future projects as I continue with my studies since this writing skills will boost my performance. My experience was good since the beginning of this project to the end, and I believe I have done good work. Finally, I write an annotated bibliography which is the list of the references used in the entire project followed by a brief explanation of what the source talks about. This is necessary to find out which source was used where in the research and also can be used by other researchers in their study to identify which article talks about what. The entire process was good to me, and I presented the best work since the start to the end of my research. I now have better writing skills, and in the case of future projects, I will be a better position to go about it and get good grades.
