Research Analysis
In this research, I used literature review as my methodology. This methodology reviewed research papers that have been done by other scholars and are in various libraries. The type of methodology I chose was best because it did not need IRB approval. Also, I did not need to interact with humans thus was the best kind of methodology.
There are advantages to using literature review as a methodology that other research methods would not give. First, literature review helps the research to know the extent to which a particular topic has been addressed and what is already known on the matter. Literature reviews also reveal experts in specific fields. For instance, a researcher may find a single topic discussed by one scholar in several articles. This will give the researcher confidence and will know who to consult on the matter.
Furthermore, literature review will help unveil research gaps. Through reviewing several resources and how they have been discussed, research is able to know which kind of topic needs to be researched further. However, this methodology is time-consuming, and one may not necessarily get access to all the information they need.
The data collected in this research will be valuable in the United States colleges, as it will equip them with information about the challenges Burmese students face while in the country. The data will also be useful in helping these students to adapt to US cultures concerning learning. As more students seek higher education in the United States, the administration of universities needs to understand what students are facing and how well they can resolve these matters for better performance of future generations.
