First and foremost, successful healthcare organizations commence with plainly defining the change an aligning it to their objectives. To achieve that, the organization needs to analyze why the need is essential. The next step involves determining the impacts that might result from the change at various levels in the organization. The organization then develops an effective communication strategy to inform everyone about the change. Successful healthcare organizations then provide practical training to the workers where they acquire relevant skills to implement the change. Finally, the organization implements a support structure to assist the employees in adjusting to the move, and they measure the process every step of the way.

One of the industries experiencing significant organizational changes in the healthcare industry, including my work environment. Most of the change is as a result of technological advancement, the external corporate environment as well as local and international economies. Although most change initiatives in the industry fail, my organization happens to be very successful at implementing change.

Despite successful change implementation in my organization, the changes cause adverse impacts on employees. The main reason is the fear of change and how it may affect them at the individual level. Most of the changes involve technological advancement, and since most workers are afraid to learn new skills, it affects their work satisfaction, productivity, morale and performance.
