I found your discussion board post this week fascinating, especially on the point that nurses should identify a diverse cultural assessment in healthcare (Andrew, Boyle & Collins, 2016). Nurses are supposed to know how to take care of their patients by considering their cultural background and heritage in medical treatment. This is why a robust cultural assessment helps in finding out the different medical needs of patients from various cultural backgrounds. This strategy enables the medical experts as well as nurses to provide healthcare in ways that match the patient’s diverse culture. The factors that are often put into consideration when providing patients from different ethnic groups include age, race, gender, ethnicity, and genetic makeup.
It is also essential for nurses to examine the daily life patterns of patients even when they are discharged from the hospital. This is where the social media influence comes by as nurses can follow up patients using social media channels and have a good record of their patients’ improvements (Paget et al., 2011). Communication skills and mutual respect are other factors that are considered in patient-nursing relationships. The nurses and patients should be aware of the costs that have been incurred in the development of an appropriate care plan for a particular diagnosis. Also, a supportive environment is required, which will help in the decision-making process to enable everyone to speak up freely.

Your discussion board is comprehensive! I enjoyed reading the necessary key components of a comprehensive cultural assessment. The main component discussed in this post is communication skills between patients and nurses, which I found intriguing. Having a strong understanding of aesthetic evaluations will help nurses in creating a communication language that will help inpatient intervention in treatment procedures (Andrew, Boyle & Collins, 2016). The other factor is the time, which helps in determining the use of specific preventive care methods. It is also essential for nurses to learn on the varying biological differences within various ethnic groups, which are affected by cultural encounters, skills, knowledge, desire, and cultural awareness. Therefore, excellent communication skills and mutual respect are needed to ensure quality healthcare is provided to patients, and their care treatment plans are also organized well (Giger & Davidhizar, 2002).
