According to Warrick (2017), the he kind of culture that a firm embraces highly determines the success of the business. McCoy’s Building Supply Centers and Chick-fil-A are excellent examples of organizations with cultures that promote innovation and success (Willy Plus, n.d.). They have established a wonderful culture of closing operations on Sundays, placing employees before profits, focusing on consumer satisfaction and treating workers with respect.

An excellent example is always saying “my pleasure” anytime a customer says thank you (Willy Plus, n.d.). As a result, the organizational culture Chick-fil-A firm embraces maximizes consumer satisfaction which in turn boosts sales.

For this reason, there is a close relationship between personal beliefs and organizational culture. Thus, the success of a business is greatly influenced by people’s personal beliefs. The values can promote employee loyalty, commitment, productivity as well as effectiveness (Warrick, 2017). In this case, the personal beliefs of McCoy and Cathy families significantly impact the culture of the two organizations.

This is in line with the family’s personal beliefs and values that they should observe Sunday as the day of worship and rest. The organization’s strong commitment to God goes beyond the business, their ethics and beliefs which is evident on how they treat members of the community.

Therefore, it follows that the personal beliefs of McCoy and Cathy families plays a significant role in influencing the culture of both firms.
