The advancement of technology and use of computers in the contemporary world has enabled people to communicate, learn, interact, and work with efficiency and ease. It is true to say that computers have become a vital aspects or part of the society as almost everyone is using them to do their activities. But the problem raises when the issue of the harmful components that manufactures use in the computers which are harmful to the environment and human body. I tend to agree with the sentiment that using components that risk human life and the environment is unethical and the manufacturers should use alternatives which are safer. The people can encourage manufacturers to find alternatives by only purchasing electronics that are safer and also the government should put in place rules that force the manufactures to use alternative safe materials in manufacturing the computers for the welfare of everyone.

It is unethical for manufactures to use harmful components in manufacturing computers that people tend to use in their daily activities knowing the risk and the harm the components might have on the users and the environment. I agree that the people in the society are so attached to the technology and gadgets that they do not consider the type of harm it can cause on them as long as it serves their needs. I believe that if there are measures put in place to encourage e-waste recycling a lot of people would do it ensuring that they are properly disposed to prevent harming the environment.

It is true that in the hard economic period that we are living in today businesses would do anything to make profits and the consumers always go for products that are cost friendly without caring the harm it might have on them. The fact that most of these harmful components that harm people and the environment are used by manufactures because there are no rules that regulate their use. The government should put in place rules and regulations to control the use of the harmful materials as that is the only way that manufactures will stop using them and risking people’s lives and the environment.
