results of the election for the committee down here in Mallacoota
Hello. Today I received a pretty exciting email. It was the email for the results of the election for the committee down here in Mallacoota, for the recovery after the bushfires, and now the Coronavirus situation that’s going on. And I’ve got some exciting news. I made it into the committee. I’m one of the 12 that will be leading Mallacoota through the recovery process over the next 12 months. So, that’s very exciting. My fellow committee members all look like fantastic people. I’ve had a look at their candidate profiles. I know a few of them, a few people in there that I don’t quite know, but I’m sure I’ll get to know them very well by the end of this process. Bryce Watts Parker00:38And we’re going to be having our first Zoom session on Friday, which is going to be pretty cool. I guess it’s just going to be a … It’s pretty informal from what I understand. It’s just a meet and greet, talk about why we were elected for the committee, and then forage on it with a plan of action for what’s going to be happening. Obviously, it’s a little bit tricky with the Coronavirus restrictions, but I’m sure we will try our best. And yeah, we’ll take it from here, and obviously get the ball rolling in helping the community recover after these bushfires. There’s lots of things that need to happen around town. And there’s plenty of fantastic opportunities to create a positive outcome for Mallacoota’s natural environment, it’s built environment and its social environment. So I’m going to be looking forward to partaking in that. And I guess, watch this space. And I’ll keep you guys updated. Thank you.
