Rhythm and patterns

Rhythms and patterns are always used to keep various viewers interested in the room. It encourages the viewer’s eyes to move in an organized manner around a particular or given room. It is a recurrence or a movement that is always organized. Repetition helps to achieve and attain rhythm. I took a picture of my breakfast room and my office room to illustrate the rhythm and repetitive patterns in my house. My focus was mainly on furniture and accessories in the two rooms.

My dining room consists of three items that are large and are wooden. The three items are the shelves on the wall, the dining table, and the sideboard. It’s seen that each of the three items in my dining room is made from a different wood. Each is stained and painted with a different color, but the dark brown stained tone is the same. The three items are different furniture types, but the same dark brown color can be seen on the chair’s legs, the top of the table, in the draperies. The accessories in my room are painted with a dark brown color. They are placed on shelves and the dining table; this shade of color brings a rhythm pattern.

My office room is just right next, right after my dining room. You can see that the furniture’s color is very much different from those in my dining room. But the sense of rhythm is still maintained because the shades are maintained throughout my entire house, which is grey. Repetition is also maintained. The top of the table is painted dark brown. The accessories in the room are stained with the same color. The floor also maintains the dark brown color in both rooms. The repetition of using the dark brown color has created a sense of unity and rhythm in my entire house.
