Risky condition

A risky condition is not a disease and prevention does not improve wellbeing.  The benefits are only statistical and make sense at the population level

A risky condition indicates the dangers in immediate environment such as hazards associated with developing breast cancer. Preventing risky conditions such as healthy eating does not improve the wellbeing implying that screening could still lead to detection of breast cancer. The benefits of preventing the breast cancer are considered critical efforts in eradicating dangers facing the population. However such benefits are just data and could be only is considered important by the members of the community in the immediate environment. The implication is that efforts to prevent the development of breast cancer.  Medical interventions such as mastectomies and hysterectomies promote psychological wellbeing that something is being done to prevent the development of adult cancer among the adult women.

causes of breast cancer has a lot to do with the genetics indicating that if the disease is preventing in the family there is increased likelihood that an adult female develops breast cancer. The implication is that individuals with background where the disease is common should undergo screenings for early detection and the appropriate medical interventions. Genetic exceptionalism provides that one does not have the risk of developing breast cancer due to the prevalence in the family. Some members of the families have exceptional genes that offer them immunity against breast cancer and related diseases. Thus despite the increasing risks that one faces due to the hereditary factor, one remains immune as confirmed from a series of early screening against breast cancer.

No other organ is connected to femininity, such as breasts, and thus cancer of the organ is a traumatizing moment for women. The breast is connected to the sensuality, and hence an attack on the organ denies a woman the ability to pursue sexual pleasure to a certain extent. Removal of female breast due to cancer crashes a woman and affects her mental wellbeing in tremendous way. Removal of the organ denies a woman sexual feelings associated with the breast. Thus a woman would feel in complete if they have no capacity to utilize the breasts during intimate encounters.  Female breasts are signs of adulthood and motherhood and hence breast cancer pose major threat of denying the woman the possibility of enjoying the vital stages of life. Cancer detection following screening thus  devasstes women making them change the perspectives about life. If the breasts are removed due to escalating cancers cells then female patients are unlikely to feel complete in entire lives.

Making tough and complex choices requires ethical information. It is vital for the medical professionals in oncology offers vital information to patients. Failure to provide the necessary information about the expectations is tantamount to breaching ethics of the professional practice. The medical experts should deliberate the possible ramifications of genetic testing and inform the patients about the available interventions strategies. Counseling is critical aspect of the conversations between the care givers, patients and their families. In the same measure the healthcare professionals should promote confidentiality as they recommend genetic testing for individuals or given populations. He patients should have prior information about the possibility of the extreme medical interventions following genetic results. Sharing the information with the individuals and their families enhances the ethical requirements associated with medical disclosures.

Genetic testing determines alterations of the chromosomal structure, proteins or genes in an individual. A genetic testing could confirm genetic condition and thus establish the possibility of genetic disorder. I would not like the genetic testing done on met as it could lead identify genetic disorder thus undergoing the necessary assistance for correcting the disorder. Genetic testing helps establish   any disorder compelling the medical experts to make the necessary interventions to prevent passing on the disorder. Undergoing the testing is necessary as it helps and encourages other members of the family to do the same for possible medical interventions. Undergoing the test is pivotal in making vital plans associated with conditions.

Ethical committees in healthcare settings provide the necessary assistance on ethical matters arising during delivery of care to the patients.  I would like an ethical committee to determine of medical intervention is necessary after results. I trust the professionalism that the committee facilitates the decision making process as they are focused on the wellbeing of patients. I believe that the ethical committee would make the most appropriate recommendations while considering the interests, concerns and values. I would like the ethical committee to make a determination regarding medical interventions as I would be guaranteed that they would consult me and family so that the ultimate decision aims at promoting my health. Ethical committees evaluates he results and  determines the most appropriate interventions depending on the  medical history of the patients and thus considers all  the implications of the interventions. Therefore the committee would be motivated by managing nay genetic disorder that I might have and thus I would have confidence with decisions of the group.

Women are very keen on improving all aspects if their health and thus re easily unethically swayed into having genetic testing. By undertaking the tests most women hope that they will get the appropriate results that reveal genes or mutations that could cause illness  and thus undergo medical procedures. In most instances the women are preoccupied by the need to promote all aspects of their health. Problem is that mostly the women lack adequate information regarding genetic testing. In some instances the confidentiality aspect of the testing is not guaranteed posing a danger to the medical data of the female patients. Unethical health practitioners take advantage of the gullibility of women on medical issues thus is swayed to having the genetic test before being subjected to the medical interventions. The women are rarely informed about the limitations of the testing and he possible side effects. Failure to offering women all the crucial information is similar to unethical practices.

BRCA1 or BRCA2 genes indicate that an individual has mutation in one of the breasts cancer genes. Hence a positive test indicates that one has a high likelihood developing ovarian or breast cancer, both that are common in women. Thus it is necessary that women be tested for BRCA1 or BRCA2 genes to determine if they have mutations and the risks for developing breast cancer. Such determination would ensure that undergo the necessary medical interventions to prevent the escalation of the health status. Undertaking the tests ensures that the women starts the cancer treatments and other interventions early enough to prevent the spared of the disease to the rest of the body. Thus I feel that all women should be tested for the BRCA1 or BRCA2 genes as mitigation measure to managing their health.

Extreme medical interventions are likely to interfere with biological processes of women. Most women in their 20s have an increased control of their bodies on areas such as arousal patterns nad the menstrual cycles.  Extreme medical interventions interferes with the patterns and could affect the ability of a woman conceive in the future. Such interventions might affect the uterus, cervix among other reproductive organs hence affecting the capacity to hold pregnancy to full term. Genetic testing could reveal a myriad of disorders requiring  treatment plans that could be adverse to several biological functions of women. Thus I would be cautious that women should only be allowed to undergo extreme medical interventions only after exhaustive determination that such plans do not interfere with biological processes.

Testing positive for BRCA1 and BRCA2 Genes implies that I would have high risk of breast cancer. I would be anxious as I contemplate he unlimited possibilities in the future. My mind would never settle until I undergo the required surgical and medical interventions to remove any cancer cells or until such time that the medical teams would determine negative results for cancer. I am certain that I would not be able to rest until I confirm that I have no cancer. If cancer tests prove positive I would undergo all the necessary tests for commencing the required interventions. Thus testing positive for the genes would instill fear as I contemplate uncertain future. I would only relax once all the necessary medical interventions are determined and initiating the medical interventions. I would be uncomfortable knowing that I have tested positive without the necessary medical interventions.
