Robert Jones, the wrongful Conviction, was born in 1973, January 26th. He is an American exonerate, and he was wrongly convicted for raping and killing British Tourists in 1992. Robert Jones stayed in Jail for 23 years and was later released from Louisiana State little after Lousuisian upended his Conviction in Appeal court. As Robert Jones was preparing for a pre-trial hearing that highlighted the prosecutorial misconduct, the officers, DA dropped all the charges imposed on his case (Sanchez, 2020). In 2018, Robert jones worked with Orleans Public defender as their clients. He also authored the book named Unbreakable resolve, which contains his story before he went to prison, when he was in prison, and after leaving the prison. He also helped in starting non –profit organizations like youth mentoring organizations to bring changes in many people’s lives and create a better impact on many youths’ lives.

Robert Jones was put in Jail in the 1990s after being accused of raping and killing a British tourist in New Orleans. He spent more than a half of his life in prison, although he was later released on a bond. Other than raping and killing the tourist, Jones was also said reported to have committed the robbery. The aim of putting Jones in prison for that long was a way of creating a lesson to the criminals who take other people’s lives for granted (Sanchez, 2020). The court wanted to ensure that people who are planning to do such crimes or related crimes will stop.

Robert Jones has a combination of mistaken witness identification, perjury, other police misconduct, and the false accusation that made Jones convicted of shooting and raping tourists from British. In 2014, the court of Louisiana reversed the ruling, and it gave Robert Jones a new trial on the crime of Rape, Robbery, and charges of kidnapping. The court found out that both prosecution and police had failed in disclosing the following three essential facts. The two failed to disclose TP’s original statement after the rape case was estimated, which did not fit Robert Jones but was very accurate for Lester Jones. Second, both processors and police failed to disclose that TP has stated that the person who conducted the rape had communicated when the action would occur (Weintraub & Bernstein, 2020). Finally, he did not disclose about the detective cade a person investigating the robberies who had involved Lester Jones. On November 15th, Stewart, an FBI agent, gave testimony during the pre-trial hearing of the case of Robert Jones, claiming that he had disclosed the truth to the Attorney’s office laugh there was no connection between Lester and Robert Jones. Three months later, after the new trial became final, the prosecution released the truth about Julie’s Killing through writing. In the memorandum, he claimed ha Lester Jones had recanted the entire statement to the police. In 2017, Jones turned the hearing on a motion where defenses were required to dismiss the indictment and represent the prosecution’s decision to bring to an end his case.

After spending 23 years in Jail, the court Vacated Jones’s Conviction and gave him a new trial after realizing that the original trial that was put upon his case was unjust. Robert’s case shows how lawyers practice injustice while conducting an investigation, trial, and Conviction. Further, the case of Robert Jones shows how blacks in America have been discriminated against, they are jailed for no reason, and the worst part of it is awesome are serious injured while others are killed because no one is there to fight for their rights. There is currently an investigation by WBUR to discover the causes of racial biases in the Jury and New trial motion on behalf of all innocents put in Jail without committing any crime. Future There is a verdict of the Jury that is rebuking the irresponsibility of the DA (Norris & Mullinix, 2020. Further, the Prosecutor is also pursuing justice, although things have not come to normal because the Prosecutor’s evidence was recently ignored and blindly pursued o the serial against a factually innocent man.
Conclusion
From the above presentation of Robert Jones the wrong Conviction) we conclude that despite that Jones stayed in prison for 23 years; there was no evidence to show that he committed the crime. The essay shows how many Black people in the USA are discriminated against; they are innocently put in Jail, harassed, and killed without having someone to speak on their behalf.
