Question 4

The concept of machines able to see is not recent among us. This has been a fiction of science for a long time and is now realistic. One key difference is that machine vision was the first to be introduced. Machine vision is a system based on engineering and applies technology to view the processes of the line of production. This helps manufacturers identify flaws in products before distribution is done. Further, the machines ensure that their food is properly labeled before distribution is done. The development of computers led to the future leaping of machine vision. In case we take machine vision as the body of a particular system, computer vision is the retina and the central brain of the body. Machine vision utilizes cameras to see images, while computer vision algorithms help in interpreting the images. Computer vision doesn’t depend on anything to function (Mitchell et al., 2013). That is, it can be used alone while machine vision uses software and computers to function.

Question 5

A robot cleaner can be as intelligent as a six-year-old child through perception, activity, and decisions. On the issue of perception, the robot can see and perceive things like a kid pf six years. Kids can use such cleaners to learners’ ways of cleaning. They perform activities the same way six-year kids do. This is because they are designed to fit the intellectual capacity of the kids. The vacuum cleaners significant solutions for loads of fun for kids. The research established that vacuum cleaners are intelligence that fits the elementary six-year school child (Mitchell et al. 2013). The cleaners can be used to guide whether to go through or avoid an obstacle. This is similar to kids ‘. The vacuum cleaners don’t have a broad learning program. This is a similar case with kids.

Question 15

The primary difference between dumb robots and intelligent robots is seen in their design. Intelligent robots are artificial intelligence. It involves the construction of smart machines that perform tasks that require human knowledge. It is important intelligent robots can operate alone without any human interference. On the other hand, dumb robots must be operated by individuals to execute their functions. Intelligent robots involve deep learning and machine learning. Deep learning happens when the machines can set algorithms that can be used to make decisions for an organization. They are used in non-linear reasoning due to the presence of neural networks (Gunning, 2017). The technique of non-neural networks tends to act like human neural networks. On the other hand, dumb robs involve physical machines that have no deep learning. They depend on human knowledge to execute various tasks. That is, they perform depending on the interests of the operator.

Intelligent robots can process a wide range of functions at a similar time. This is due to enhanced technology that is used to design the systems. This is a form of processing that improves how customers are served in the company. They can find instant solutions for challenges related to the production process. This is not possible in dumb robots. They depend on human effort, and they are unlikely to execute various functions within a very short time. Human beings can get tired and fail to operate the machines.

Further, the control by individuals reduces the security of organizational information. Dumb robots may not be able to find long term solutions for various problems experienced by an organization. This is due to their large dependence on human intelligence (Gunning, 2017). Dumb robots operate in a limited geographical area, which is not the case with intelligent robots. Intelligent robots are computer systems, and that’s why they have a large geographical coverage.
