SCI-Arc has always been my dream institution that fascinated me ever since High school. During this unexpected pandemic, I took the time to self-reflect on the ongoing things in my life; I concluded that I do not want to graduate from any universities in the world, but yours. SCI-Arc is one of the nation’s few institutions that only focuses on the topic of Architecture. This means that studying Architecture at SCI-Arc will lead me to become stronger, more focused, and acquainted; everything I need to be more successful in this subject. Besides, the current location SCI-Arc makes me more interested in enrolling in your university. Being located in an urban Art’s District and the cultural heart of Los Angeles helps an Architect be inspired on a daily ba of its surrounding in which they could apply it to their work.
As a student, SCI-Arc is known to have a very diverse and inspiring environment; I believe that this is essential for my routine tasks as well as studies. Also, I had attended a high school with international exposure, and this would help me acclimatize to a new environment. Being in a diverse environment invites me to different cultures and mindsets, which has a profound influence on my development. For example, if I had chosen to study Architecture in the University of Kuwait where the community is identical; in turn, I would not have gotten the opportunity to learn about different types of people, cultures or mentalities. It is imperative to me to identify the leading educational path, and in SCI-Arc the education is both captivating and reliable as it offers an education that technology, philosophy, art, urbanism, and politics. At the same time, I believe that studying architecture, at SCI-Arc, will not be a bed of roses as I anticipate a myriad of challenges. I am staying focused on my educational journey while striving to adapt to the new environment. I have always admired the process of challenging myself working and going out of my way to surpassing the ordinary limits.
As an Architect, it is essential to be conscious of every aspect of global development while delivering to the demands dictated by the multicultural and diverse backgrounds. Given the opportunity, I will not hesitate to join the SCI-Arc to pursue education for career development while being optimistic to transform the world from the gained attitude, knowledge and skills.
