A society is defined as a group of people who share territories, interactions, and share cultures. On the other hand, ethnicity refers to the shared cultures and ways of people’s lives, and it could be language, religion, cultural products like art and music. Lastly, it could be represented by people’s mode of dressing or even cuisines. There are various criteria used to categorize people’s ethnicity, including language, religion, customs, and races. Ethnicity affects our identities significantly, and I consider this to be natural. In my case, it identifies me with the past generations, especially my ancestors and other people we share the same ethnicity. For instance, one of the factors that define my ethnicity is my language, and I can relate with other people who share the same language. The desire to communicate was the major cause of making languages that have attributed to an increase in the number of Languages play a social purpose in the society because it is mainly used for linguistic communication. I also feel positive about people share the same ethnicity as I think I can relate with them quickly regardless of whether they are people in just met. In my case, language is not only the factor that helps me to interact with people from my ethnicity.

Music and art are also another factor that I consider very important, and my love for traditional music and art defines me a lot. I believe art to be one of the essential tools that we use to communicate and express our thoughts in various ways. Music and art have played an essential role in enabling me to create memories that have enabled me to find my place in the temporal and social contexts. It has also played an important role in enacting me as actors in my community, which is important developmentally. Most young people tend to improve in various aspects when they identify themselves with values that help them to excel in various aspects. Ethnicity has also played a vital role in providing positive guidance in my case as I construct by pointing the personally and socially productive future.

The cultures I observe have also been important in improving my learning of valuable skills which will believe will be vital in the future. Participating in cultural activities has been crucial in developing my thinking skills, and it has also built my self-esteem.  It has also improved my flexibility, and these factors have also impacted my educational outcome positively. For instance, the integration of arts in school curriculums has shown an increase in the number of students who get degrees compared to those that do not offer these arts. Therefore, it is clear that children who are introduced to their ethnicities arts are likely to comprehend other arts even better. Cultural heritage has also enabled me to broaden opportunities and lifelong learning and help me understand the history better.  There are educational products and other learning resources that are developed in museums, and they are designed based on people’s heritages.

My ethnic cultures also create important in the societies since they hold communities together. They bring people together, and participating in cultural activities like festivals and fairs have been so enlightening and a perfect opportunity to learn about various aspects of different ethnicities. It is also important in creating a society where people focus on empowering others and social development. Engagement in cultures is also vital in reducing poverty and establishing because most people are treated equally regardless of ethnic differences. Diverse cultural heritage also creates social cohesion for people who appreciate diversity in communities. It is clear that diverse cultures also tell stories about our shared past, which creates a united society, which is very important. Social cohesion is vital in improving the lives of the people and ensuring they feel a sense of belonging through enabling them to identify with their past.

In some cases, people have used ethnicities to discriminate against certain people, and this is common among people who do not appreciate diversity. In some cases, it has also contributed to serious issues like racism, where some ethnicities are regarded to be inferior, which creates a rotten society. In most cases, parents who raise their children with such perception risk creating children who do not appreciate other people’s differences. It is evident that we do not decide our races or even ethnicities, and discriminating against people because of these two factors is mean. These discriminations affect people psychologically, and it is serious because, in some cases, people are given priorities because of their cultures. It is, however, important to understand that diversity creates a unique society, and it is important to give everyone equal treatment. In my case, I respect everyone regardless of their ethnicities because I consider our cultural differences a perfect opportunity to learn from the others ad get a better insight regarding their cultures.
