Service-oriented architecture
Research on service-oriented architecture (SOA) and find three different images/diagrams that represent its functions and features. In your opinion, what is the most important thing about SOA to a business? Which image would you use to best represent an SOA to non-technical managers and explain why? List URLs or embed referenced images.
Service-oriented architecture refers to a software design wherein the services are presented to the different components employing the additives of a utility over the network through a communication procedure (SarthakGargCheck, 2018). The prime purpose of the SOA is to separate the features into different units or diverse offerings that can be availed to the structure by developers to improve their use in manufacturing. SOA offers the business the essential aid for aligning the dreams of an enterprise to the IT structure. SOA is used to merge the primary stakeholders of an organization, i.e., the business unit, and IT.
The IT group designs, apply and install the packages and IT infrastructures while the company’s business team ensures cost shipping to both the customer and the consumer (Kim & Baek, 2019). The IT group and the commercial enterprise unit’s alignment is vital in making the SOA a success in every enterprise. Service-oriented architecture’s most notable features include the utility, the service bus, carrier repository, interface, and the application fronted. SOA also provides good enterprise judgment, settlement, data, and even the implementation system. Interaction and visibility are also vital essentials of the SOA.
A successful service-oriented Architecture must understand the worth of the enterprise. It must construct a case of Return on Investment (ROI) for the company in addition to the commercial enterprise metrics. The suitable image for the non-technical manager is the reference model service-oriented structure. The version defines the goals of the SOA and explains all the crucial offerings of the SOA to the managers (Liu, 2019). The image will deliver the non-technical managers` SOA vocabulary and additionally offers them general knowledge of architecture. The model gives a few normative references which are applicable when implementing the SOA.
