SHAKE COVID-19 OFF
Shake Covid-19 off is a Zumba workout health program carried out in the outdoors in the neighborhood. The Zumba instructors started the program targeting themselves as instructors, mental health workers, and program participants. The paper seeks to provide the audience with the purpose of why they should enroll in the health program.
Conceptual Model
The fundamental principles of the health program’s model revolve around ensuring a healthy lifestyle in the long term during and after the pandemic. First, the target population should ensure the elimination of the stress resulting from isolation then eliminate it through the Zumba workout routine. Secondly, the population through booty-shaking would eliminate toxins from the body through sweating hence improve the body’s immune system. Finally, the daily Zumba workout lessons would change the population’s routine that would enhance a healthy lifestyle among them during and after the pandemic.
Objectives of the Program
The key objectives of this health program include:
- Ensure shaking off the stress caused by isolation through Zumba dance workout classes.
- Promote an improved immune system through the workout program.
- Ensure a healthy lifestyle during and after the pandemic through the class routines
Evaluation Questions
The programs’ evaluation questions include:
- How the instructors and the mental health workers would differentiate the type of stress caused by isolation, and that is not?
- How the mental health workers and the instructors would formulate an effective program that promotes an improved immune system?
- How could the target population ensure a continued program after the pandemic to ensure continuity of a healthy lifestyle?
Description of Type of Data and Methods on Evaluation Questions
The study first collected both quantitative data for evaluation questions one and three using questionnaires since they allowed the participants to state the origin of the stress enhancing differentiation (Allison, Hilton, O’Sullivan, Owen & Rothwell, 2016). The questionnaires enabled the participants to indicate possible weaknesses to the program and possible solutions to ensure a long-term healthy lifestyle after the pandemic (McLaughlin, Bush & Zeeman, 2016). The study assembled qualitative data from the participants using case study analysis. Case study analysis allows us to learn how other programs worked hence making it easier to implement outcomes.
Overview
Participants indicate that isolation is the key cause of stress in the neighborhood due to restrained movement and mixing. The participants also established the continued workout class routine, and mitigation of identified weaknesses would ensure long-term continuity of a healthy lifestyle. The case study analysis demonstrated that the allocation of enough time and in the mornings and evening would promote improved immunity in the neighborhood.
