What are the key considerations in designing a social media policy?
For one to be able to design a social media policy, they need some of the components which they are supposed to consider about; hence the key considerations are; There is a significant need on clarifying of whom can speak for the organization on social media. A plan is supposed to be made in dealing with the conflicts. There should be the personal account included towards the guidelines of one’s social media policy, and there should be the consideration of the potential legal risks, keeping of the brand and the employees on being secured, and implementing of own media policy (Allan, 2017).
What are the primary challenges and risks when formalizing a social media policy?
The primary challenges or the risks that can be caused when formalizing the social media policy could be; The employees who are rogue are capable of posting up inappropriate proprietary or confidential content, there can be cost increment because of overlapping and activities that are inefficient towards the social policy, risk of reputational damage or public backlash. Another types or examples of challenges is privacy conflicts and data breaching, attacks from the social engineering through the social policy, sanctions and fines for regulatory non-compliance and the customer’s lawsuits and the employees with the reason of poor governance, week policies and keeping of records (Johnson, 2019).
Who should be involved in the design and review of the final policy?
In the designing and reviewing of the final policy, the ones that are supposed to be involved by are the organization team; they are supposed to be involved so that they can say on why policy they need to keep up with and the policy which they don’t need anymore. The other benefits of the corporate team coming together in the reviewing and designing of a final policy are that they will be able to share their minds effectively by everyone giving out their ideas which might be beneficial to them or they can all choose on agreeing or disagreeing with any of the ideas shared (Magette, 2018).
