social networks and information technology

The line managers have significant responsibility for implementing change within a learning organization, especially for the information technology department. In every organization, role differs; however, the role of line management has primarily been related to ensuring that the organizational objectives are met as they are strategically positioned to make the difference. After a change is initiated in an organization, the line managers’ responsibility is to provide feedback regarding the change and determine some of the adjustments that can be made to improve the supposed change effectively. Further, being in charge of the activities and hearing the different aspects of how significant a change is, the line managers have a substantial role in making decisions as they are part of the managers, hence improving decision-making (Daim, et.al, 2018).

On the other hand, social networks and information technology have a significant role when it comes to controlling the flow of information in a business community. The social networks have transformed how social discourse happen both in the organization and outside the organizations. The social network is all about the information flow from one business aspect to the other. This is the same case as the line managers are responsible for ensuring that effective feedback is provided concerning a particular change. The advent of information communication technology has made communication from one employee to be more comfortable (Johnston, & Marshall, 2016). The line managers can effectively pass information regarding a change to the senior manager. Further, through the use of technology, the social network improves the level of communication within an organization. Therefore, their advent of information technology has improved decision-making as more reliable and quality information is passed from one aspect to another.
