South Africa as an Overseas Manufacturing Site

Although mining and agriculture do well in South Africa, manufacturing continues to be a massive boost in the productive sector in the century (Cao, Scudder& Dickson, 2018). Manufacturing industries like tallow production, tanning, and winemaking are the industries boosted by agriculture, meant for the domestic market. As mining extends, new industries are coming up to meet the urban demands. The country still depends on imports ranging from clothing and textiles to mining equipment. The government encourages local manufacturing to produce much other stuff, which will help protect the local industry.

The country has cheap labor availability; hence the manufacturing activities need to be expanded, and the government has intensive capitalization through tax incentives, which will lead to investments through state corporations. Leaders have realized that the major boost in their country is increasing manufacturing companies, which will help the country reach the goals successfully and take the country to the next economic development stage. The country is seeking new and innovative ways to attract investors to develop manufacturing industries in their country. In this way, they have implemented strategies that will help nurture these industries through the improvement of infrastructure and regional integration, and they have developed special zones for the sub-sectors’ priority.

Concerning the political system and its stability, the country is a parliamentary republic, and they are democratic in nature. They have adopted the policy of racial reconciliation and national unity, which prioritizes the social, economic, and political of the black people while taking into account other groups’ interests. The legal system has enacted labor laws that protect labor and state the working hours, strikes, holidays, and unions. This set of rules still protects the employees’ rights, and this suits well Transsion Company, which is set to open up soon.

South Africa is the second most developed country in Africa, and this also implies the market economy where the government plays a key role in protecting property security and providing stable fiscal and monetary policies. The world cup provided a huge boost to this county in economic growth where small and middle-sized enterprises were encouraged and supported. Since then, tourism activities in South Africa have been on the rise.

South Africa’s standard of living is still low because there has been limited economic development, and the majority of the population is still living below the poverty level. Bringing up a manufacturing industry to this country will improve its economy and promote people’s employment and improve the employment environment. This will come with the introduction of new skills and education, higher wages, and gradually improve people’s living standards.
