Southern Nevada prides itself as one of the world’s major tourist attraction sites

SOUTHERN NEVADA

Southern Nevada prides itself as one of the world’s major tourist attraction sites with a vast tourist destinations including Las Vegas, Hoover dam, Charleston Peak and Valley of Fire State Park. Choosing the place to visit in Southern Nevada is not an easy task. This paper will highlight the reasons why one should want to visit Las Vegas over the other tourist destinations. These reasons are; it is the land of adventure, proximity to amazing outdoors, and its affordability discussed below.

Las Vegas offers opportunities for adventure. An adventurer enthusiast once said, “Las Vegas offers a roster of incredible adventures that will rouse even the most jaded traveler” (Castillo, José, Mercedes, & Lourdes 139). The city is one of the adventure tourism attraction sites catering to visitors who want something different. Adventuredom, for instance, is America’s largest indoor theme park situated within the Circus Circus resort in Las Vegas. It is the perfect attraction for families or “those who are just kids at heart,” boasting 25 plus rides and attractions. Amongst them are adrenaline-pumping trips such as El Loco, Chaos, Inverter, roller coaster, and Canyon Plaster. One can also get behind the wheel of NASCAR at the Dale Jarrett Racing Adventure, swim with dolphins at Siegfried and Roy’s Secret Garden marine habitat, and shoot various automatic weapons at Machine Guns Vegas.

Las Vegas has excellent outdoors with many activities to do outside. According to Sara, “Las Vegas’s glitzy charm won’t last forever. Luckily the Grand Canyon, kayaking, desert cycling and hiking, skiing, and loads more outdoor activities are close at hand” (Kim, Lee, Uysal, Kim, & Ahn 78). Red Rock Canyon is only about 20-minutes away, and gorgeous Canyons are providing perfect opportunities to hike, bike, and climb rocks. Lake Mead is only about an hour outside of the city, and it offers affordable cruising. A little further is the Death Valley in California and Utah’s Zion National Park. Riding a helicopter to the Grand Canyon provides a deep architecture of the natural attraction (Kim, Lee, Uysal, Kim, & Ahn 77). Las Vegas is squarely in the middle of an outdoor enthusiast’s dream.

Las Vegas is one of the most affordable vacation destinations. Five-star accommodations that would go for $800 per night in other destinations can go for $100 per night in Las Vegas. According to Sergio, “The dining is delicious and affordable” (Ac Moro, Sergio, Paulo Rita, & Joana Coelho 50). Las Vegas also offers affordable shopping. Las Vegas Premium Outlets and Fashion Outlets are malls offering designer brands at huge discounts. Further, shops in Las Vegas act to recoup casino losses, and prices are very friendly.

In conclusion, as Vegas is affordable with excellent outdoor activities. The outdoor activities offer a vast range of experience. Further, Las Vegas is an attractive destination for adventurers with adrenaline raising rides. Las Vegas is, therefore, the best destination in Southern Nevada.
