Special Topics of Loneliness Studies

This essay explores the various advents presented in the “Special Topics of Loneliness Studies” at the Freedman’s University of Hatemyprofessor. However, this study seeks to examine the provocative figure for issuing hateful speech publicly. There have been many cases of offences in universities and colleges as a result of hate speeches from visitors or interference with the freedom and liberties of College and University students by denying them freedom of expressing themselves. Though, many colleges and universities have been recently criticized for inviting or cancelling invitations to controversial figures who may have probably offended their communities.

The First Amendment statute in the United States guarantees that the government will assure the utmost respect of people’s right to speech and expression. Contrary, colleges and universities maintain their position that inviting speakers with unpopular perspectives is not allowed since it may endanger peace and possibly violate individual rights. For instance, in the first topic about the fall in the semester, the speaker; Dr Reginald S. Chambers, is arrested out of the lecture room by police officers. This is an enactment of the amendment law since controversial external speakers are not necessarily allowed to give lecture sessions which may cause fraud to students. He is pulled out of an ongoing lecture and is not given time to express himself, and perhaps end the lecture.  This conforms to my topic since the government’s position in rebuking unnecessary give-out of speeches in colleges and universities.

Thesis statement: Inviting speakers who upset or offend the welfare of the college and university students are reprimanded by the first amendment law of the United States government. This is explicitly meant to protect and ensure that they respect and welfare of individuals in such communities is maintained accordingly. This essay confronts this issue by exemplifying that college and university students firmly reject controversial speakers so that their respect is not ruined by hate speech. Additionally, this essay portrays the role of the government in enforcing regulations to avoid the occurrence of the mentioned, as well as chasing out speakers who may give a hateful speech against students or the entire community.

The topic “fall semester, 2018 “explores how Dr Chambers was embarrassed by the police officers after being found intending to address students. From this topic, it is verified that the colleagues should not invite their speakers who might insult their community hence resulting in the maltreatments or oppressions. This is visibly demonstrated as Dr Chambers was immediately flustered and red-cheeked from the left and the right by the campus police officers. Regardless of the First Amendment in the United States of America which guarantees that the government has to respect the rights of the individuals, Dr Chambers was arrested when he had been invited as a speaker the campus. The flustering was mainly initiated by the increased use of the people’s complaints regarding the modes of teaching.

Additionally, in his lecture or speech, Dr Chamber had favour while awarding marks to the students hence raising anxiety of students within the campus since most of them discriminated and this instigated Dr Chamber to be rattled by the campus police. Therefore, the use of the teaching methods was against the viewpoints of the community and could offend the members of the community. Consequently, this denotes that colleges and Universities should cease inviting speakers precisely with different perspectives since they may end up hurting the community, which may result in mistreatments either through arrest by the campus police.

Another instance which is portrayed in this case regarding evading inviting new speakers or guests is evidenced in the Dr Chamber utterance of words whereby he asserts that he sees a brightness of the spring semester. In contrast, he majorly used poor lecturing methods whereby art one instance as a literature lecturer he gave out a pornographic essay to students. This raised different viewpoints among the students and community of the campus as a whole. Though the First Amendment in the United States initiates the government to respect each of the individual’s rights of expression and speech, Dr Chamber may have initiated. Still, the presence of such rights to have out as pornographic essay which raised different views among ghee people within the community consequently since most of the colleges and universities do not need to invite speakers with distinct viewpoints which may offend the community. This is evidenced in that delivering a pornographic essay to the students led to the upset of the members of the campus community. This depicts the necessity of evading inviting speakers who have different viewpoints since they will offend the community members.

According to topic 5; Fall Semester, 2017, the author describes that he had a very close relationship with Dr Chambers and continues to explain ho life became uncomfortable after his colleague Dr Chambers was chased out of a class by police officers. Additionally, he narrated how students at the Freedman’s University turned against him and clarifies that issues of social unrest between students and professors or other intellectuals are mainly spurred by the First amendment law which supports the students. He continues that the abundant freedom of expression offered to students has led to the predominant cases of social unrest against professors, especially when his message and argument is not in terms with their welfares. For the case of Dr Chambers, he was snatched out of the class while his lecture was on. However, the author says that as he worked in the Freedman’s University, he was chased even before his contract expired. He adds that he suffered a lot after being chased out of the University. This is a good illustration of how such actions ruin the entire life of a Professor since their lives are rendered useless because the government does not value their intellect but enforces the law accordingly. Dr Chambers is accused of undermining the anti-intellectual network constructed by society.

Moreover, the Freedman’s University mentioned that professors who may be teaching ghost courses which are not included in the University curriculum must be fired because delivering such content rather than the one outlined in the curriculum renders their students incompetent. Also, Dr Chambers is accused of forging marks for students and thus their success after graduation is not recommendable. Therefore when they seek jobs internationally, they may fail in performance because of lack the fundamental skills, and this results to a look down of the Freedman’s University, where they graduated. The organization summoned Dr Chambers for giving students a porn essay as an assignment in the Literature course. This kind of work is very is a violation of the University Laws since it is against the ethics and morals governing society. Furthermore, Dr Chambers was accused of convincing girls to have sex with him so that their final grades are modified and raised. For Reece, she was forced into the act for her to secure a job at the University. Dr Chambers asserted that all these acts were as a result of loneliness.

In conclusion, the essay discusses the various forms of immoralities and immoral speeches by Dr Reginald Chambers, who is a professor at the University. From the special topics described, the primary cause of the arrest of Dr Chambers is because he gave a porn essay to students in his literature class. He is also accused of demanding sex from girls so that he provides higher marks for them. This is contrary to the University guidelines and ethics since pornographic content is not included in the curriculum because it is a violation of the morals of the community.  I back the United States’ governmental law of protecting the rights of expression of students. Since it is the only way, they can protest and disclose information regarding immoral professors who may have sexually harassed them or deliver immoral content which is not relative to the curriculum. Dr Chambers gave a porn essay to his students; however, the students seem to be not interested with his everyday topic of sex-related literature since they are not comfortable with the immoral content delivered during the lecture. In such situations, the students require freedom of expression so that they can provoke such speeches from controversial speakers or professors.
