Strange Covid 19 Times Indeed
During these unprecedented times of the novel coronavirus pandemic, there is tension and stress brewing. The little furry friends don’t get left out either. Thus, it is paramount to ensure they stay in tip-top shape and avoid stress. It is time to play more with your dog and have fun to ease any stress and anxiety. At times it seems like too much. But your dogs’ love it! Having you and your children home all the time is excellent for your pets!!
At Harmony Farm Kennel near Kamloops BC, we have missed you since February, but we do hope you have enjoyed the silver lining of spending more time with your dogs and loved ones.
When we are wisely instructed to ‘stay home and stay safe’ for the protection of ourselves and the world, against the risk of spreading the virus covid 19, we all abided in doing all we can to aid in flattening the curve.
Here at Harmony Farm Kennel, we have done the same, and we’ve missed you! We’ve all done excellently! Thankfully, BC is gradually opening up, and everyone can consider some social expansion and opportunities to visit friends and family and …get a break from home.
The new healthy buzz of activities
During this ‘quieter than usual’ kennel time, I have become swamped at Harmony Farm (never a shortage of things to do on a farm). We have been involved in thoroughly deep cleaning and upgrading the kennels and dog play yards as well as planting a garden, landscaping, upgrading the driveways, and alas, enjoying a full lambing season all of March!
Most importantly, during this disconcerting ‘pandemic’ time. I have had a chance to thoroughly review what all I can do to keep you, your family and your dog’s kennel time as safe and above and beyond healthy, as possible, for when you can travel and choose to allow your dogs to be my kennel ‘custom care’ guest once again.
A well-thought dog caring plan
Among the very carefully considered protocols to keep everyone safe are;
parking distance, having only one person handle the transfers of your dog, and safely leaving their food and belongings.
Disinfected leashes will be available for transfers, and just before your pre-arranged pick up your dog’s things will be either laundered or cleaned and your dog wiped down with pet-friendly sanitizer.
There will be only one HFKL representative to handle your dog, and as always, each kennel will get disinfected for the next dog’s pleasant stay.
