Sub: Request for one more grade to pass my examinations
Hello Professor, I am writing regarding the recently released results. Thank you for reading this email. I had been having a tough time in the cal poly Pomona because of my mental health, living environment, and financial crisis. In fall 2018, for example, CPP dropped all the sociology classes that I enrolled in due to a payment issue.
The system required me to take at least twelve unit classes in a bid to maintain my student status in the US, which cost me an additional 9000 dollars. However, I ended up taking classes that were not related to my major and eventually scored a low grade for all the classes.
Depression and anxiety were worsening my situation, and I struggled in the fall semester. However, I tried improving in the spring semester, although I received a warning from the school which I tried to appeal. I also tried to explain my situation to the school psychiatrist concerning my case, and I have been forced by circumstances to fight for my dream without losing focus. Besides, struggling with mental illness was a significant setback as I had to force myself to attend classes.
Your teaching was one of the enjoyable moments in school since it was fun and full of experiences. Despite turning in all the assignments for the class, I have to admit that I still missed a few things. Therefore, I will take advantage of any opportunity presented to me to improve my credits.
This semester I was also struggling with statistics class and counseling class and my depression, so I talked to the counselor and the sociology department, who encouraged me to at least try to communicate with Professor Jose. Professor Jose agreed to give me another chance if I at least do well in all other classes. A warning was, however, given that I am facing being kicked out of school if the results from different classes are not convincing.
The decision to write this email to you, Professor, has come after a series of panic attacks and sleepless nights as I have been worried about my future. I will be glad if you find it within our ability to boost my credits as that will go for miles to save my stay in the school.
