Qualitative research focuses on words and meanings, while quantitative research usually concentrates on numbers and statistics. Each of them is associated with particular advantages and disadvantages that make them unique. However, some of these pros and cons tend to be similar and even differ at the same time. A major similarity of the advantage of both quantitative and qualitative research is that both help in the analysis of collected data in order to arrive at a particular conclusion. A major difference in the advantages also exists. For example, quantitative research tends to offer accurate data that helps in the analysis of data, and this creates impartiality in the data collected and analyzed. Qualitative research, on the other hand, tends to encourage discussion by allowing for the explanation of words together with their meanings. Unlike the latter that only focuses on the number, the qualitative tends to go further by brainstorming the topic of investigation.
In terms of the disadvantages, there are also similarities and differences between the two. For instance, a significant difference in the disadvantage is that the qualitative research does not allow for privacy as people are encouraged to take part. This is unlike the case of quantitative research that allows for privacy as it focuses only on the numbers and statistics.

I’m afraid I have to disagree with you on this one. I think qualitative research is better than quantitative research as it allows for open discussion of the topic under study. This will enable individuals to give their views so that a particular conclusion can be arrived at. It is therefore only prudent to say that it is better than the quantitative research
