The American Civil War

The American Civil War was fought from the spring of 1861 to the summer of 1865. The war claimed approximately 620,000 men, who died fighting for what they believed in. The men that gave their lives accomplished what no legislation or politician could.  They reconstituted the principles that the United States was founded upon. The soldier’s deep interest in their country and the political events that shaped it surprised men from “professional” armies.

Ever of the United States, African Americans have dependably been oppressed. At the point when Africans previously came to America, they were taken without wanting to and compelled to fill in as workers. They progressed toward becoming captives to the wealthy, eager, languid Americans. They were given no compensation and frequently gravely whipped and beaten. African Americans battled for their opportunity, and up until the Civil War, it was never given to them. At the point when the Civil War started, they needed to participate in battling to free all slaves. Their chance to be warriors and battle close by white men similarly did not come effectively, however inevitably African Americans substantiated themselves ready to withstand the warmth of fight and battle as evident American legends. As far back as the start of America, there have been essential occasions that prompted the American Civil War. From the beginning of time, there has been much debate about whether this war was or was not unavoidable. After thinking once more into the narratives of history and the long-term strife between the North and the South, one can see that the American Civil War was unquestionably unavoidable.

The Civil War addressed three fundamental questions that the revolution failed to resolve. One was whether the US was meant to remain a confederation of sovereign states that could be dissolved, or two, to become a unified nation with a national government, and three, whether the US would remain the world’s largest shareholder of slave trade practices. There existed compromising differences between the slave states and Free states over the move by the powers of the National Government to abolish the slave trade (Clark 143). These were the major factors that triggered the Civil War. During the 1860 presidential elections campaign, Abraham Lincoln pledged to weed out slavery out of seven states in the Deep South of the United States (Edwards 12-14). The seven states later seceded to form a new nation: the Confederation of America. On the contrary, most of the people from the North despised and refused to acknowledge the legitimacy of secession.

The development of a stable central national government was so important after the Civil War because it was the turning point of American history. It was, therefore, necessary for the development of the nation because of the after-effects of the war to the people. The Civil War was America’s access to the universe of the brain, as the officers of the war experienced horrendous mishaps that constrained them to obtain psychological sicknesses. The Civil War was a period of innovative improvements which took into consideration officers to be presented to an extreme environment. Soldiers of the American Civil War were overpowered by a period where weaponry and mechanical advancements were flourishing. The American Civil War has turned into a point of debate and contention while talking about essential occasions informing America. The conflict that emerges while examining the war will be in the general spotlight on whether the Confederate was naturally defended in withdrawing, or whether the North reserved the privilege to keep the division. Nonetheless, while talking about the America Civil War and the possibility of detachment, it is imperative to be careful that the division did not just finish at the state level. Toward the finish of the American Civil War, in 1865 servitude was abrogated, the military was enormously upgraded, and the extraordinary country of America turned out to be entire again with the North and South being united.

The Southerners were not ignorant of their dilemma or the consequences of their actions.  They held a principled desire to protect their States (property), which was habituated to them by their government.  The North was fortunate not to have had to wage large-scale combat on their own land; they fought with a passion equal to the Souths (Acharya et al. 626-630).  Even after suffering numerous defeats, the North’s resolve for combat never suffered.

This is further proof that the war was NOT fought over slavery. Slavery was even more spread in the North than in the South. The North did, however, conquered and subjugated the South, and the War they initiated and waged against the South was both unconstitutional and treasonous. It was fought to force the legally seceded South back into the union to continue the collection of excessive tariffs, which economically damaged the South, but was of economic benefit to the northern industrialists. The North had struggled with the South to make them “slaves” (only economically) for a long time before the war started without switching to a war. Without A. Lincoln as US president, the struggle would have continued in the US Congress and other places but not militarily. There had been no such intent on both sides before. General Ulysses Grant ended hostilities immediately after General Robert E. Lee signed the surrender.

The American civil war was a strife that began after several years of simmering tension between the southern and northern states over slavery as well as westward expansion. This was shortly after the inauguration of President Abraham Lincoln. The Civil War was completely a defining moment for America since it finished subjugation, enslavement and abuse to people, which prompted military advancements to the betterment of the country, and together joined the North and South for a better future amongst the people of America. It was definitely what America needs to see and experience for the future.
