The American Civil War 1861-1865
The United States of America has got through various hardship that has made the nation what it is this day. The paper examines the American Civil war, which occurred in the year 1861-1865. It expounds why it was vital to develop a stable central government after the war, the reasons why it was necessary for the development of the nation, and its outcomes.
After the war, the development of a stable central government was necessary as there was a conviction by the federalist that the states were, at some point, going to form a nation. Therefore, the construction of the community would be as an outcome of the countries coming together to become one. The central government would, thus, be a representation of the nation that would be formed basing on the constitution, which in turn would make sure that the rights of the citizens are defended, and this was finally (Meier 38). The central government would comprise of the executive, legislature, and judiciary. These three arms of the government would govern each other’s powers, therefore, regulating the control of the central government; thus, the central government would, at no point, be too powerful. Due to this, it was essential to form a powerful central government.
The creation of the central government played a significant role in the development of the nation. The central government is the arm that has control over a state or country. Its formation was crucial as it would somehow bring unity among the countries which made that nation. With the nations united, the development made it more satisfied as there were outstanding communication and collaboration between the nations involved. It regulated the finances to be spent and took charge of all the actions taking place in the country. Therefore, in turn, made it easier to organize the activities taking place within the community. The central government similarly had an obligation to ensure the safety of the rights of the citizens of the nations involved. (Meier 64). With the rights of the citizens secured and well-observed, there would be, I would say, harmony in the society, which certifies that the actions done to support development are done professionally.
The central government was capable of managing the interior affairs of all the nations involved. Therefore, it guaranteed that there was a flow of actions towards development and that the United States of America developed at a high rate. However, seeing these aids of the central government in the development of the nation, it can be said that it played a significant role in the event after the war.
There is a critical effect of the civil war. The central government was created, which integrated the different nations to create one country. During the war, the rulers of the states saw it best to unite and form a universal community (Hallwood 2). This notion was cherished and put into exercise. With this done, the federalists appreciated that they required a central government that would be in control of the nation’s hence the creation of the government. In this case, it confirmed that all citizens adored their rights since the government saw to it that the reason was pragmatic. With the government in charge of everything, peace prevailed, which gave room for development. Development took place, therefore, raising the nation’s standard to its present state.
Lastly, the war led to the considerable development of the nation as the nations that united formed a society and government and therefore signalling the beginning of development. To this date, progress is still fast in the United States.
