Public speaking can help me in developing a career in the long run. Public speaking classes encourage creativity, acute thinking, professionalism, and the development of leadership capabilities. These skills and qualities are valuable in the job market and can help one to stand out by presenting themselves effectively. The assigned readings and tasks can boost my confidence by overcoming fear. The skills learned can be applied in improving my research skills and differentiating credible and relevant information for academic studies, business reports, job hunting, and marketing my credentials.
The course is important in developing effective communication skills and differentiating when different speeches are applied. An informative speech is applied when educating or informing an audience about a particular subject they are not familiar with—for instance, informing the public about a dangerous disease that has emerged. One gets to know. Persuasive speech is used when a speaker wants to convince the audience to agree on their point of view—for instance, politicians convincing the audience to vote for them. Introductory is used to inform the audience of the next speaker. The speech aims at connecting the guest and the audience.
In conclusion, public speaking is relevant in developing effective communication skills in a live audience. I need to improve my oral communication skills. My oral communication is not clear.
