The Candidates in TV Land
The take of leading politicians in the de facto relationship between the Electoral Politics and the American people.
Leading politicians feel that maintaining the de facto relationship between electoral politics and the American people is more beneficial to them. During the proceedings in Electoral Politics, leading politicians tend to manipulate the decision to be arrived at by the American people, through evoking desired emotions in them. Such feelings include fear; a voice at the end of the “Daisy girl ad” is heard at the end of the video saying, “The stakes are too high for you to stay home.” The leading politicians disclose information to the public, which is only to prove favorable to them and their aspirations. The argument is that the public needs not to be fed with too detailed information, enough for them to grasp the actual intention of the politicians.
Politicians have attendant duties to the people, even in advertising.
Political aspirants owe it to the American people, to grant them with information relevant to their manifesto, even in their campaigns. As much as they have the right to advertise themselves (“He brought us to the triumphant peace of the VE-Day”), politicians should not forget their constitutional duties to their people. As opposed to the usual propaganda to evoke emotions, the politicians should instead state sensitive facts in black and white, such as on matters concerning jobs and food security.
