The Covid-19 pandemic crisis
The Covid-19 pandemic crisis has hit the world at every corner including the United States and the state of California. Both the U.S Government and the state of California have put up measures to help fight the pandemic. The two have agreed on providing measures aimed at maintaining personal hygiene including washing hands and maintaining social distance.
California has issued an order to stay at home across the state with strict instructions that will reduce the coronavirus spread. The U.S government lacks strong coordination due to the power division between the state and the federal government. The U.S government disagrees with the California state on the issue of curfew hours. Many state officials are reluctant to issue police powers on the imposed rules while the state of California issues arrests orders to those that defy rules (Schwartz, King & Yen, 2020).
The state of California and the U.S government should join forces to combat the pandemic. The two parties should come up with a way to ensure businesses are conducted safely to avoid the spread. Movement should be limited in the most critical areas while the other areas should be allowed to open a business but under certain measures.
