The first learning strategy is Group discussion
The first learning strategy is Group discussion. Moreover, group discussion is one of the teaching strategies among nursing educators. Group discussions are useful in both online and offline classes and are adaptable to any class size. In a discussion, the instructor facilitates students’ learning experience. Discussion requires students to think critically and to evaluate their own and other’s responses. Students can explore a diversity of perspectives and build on each other’s knowledge and understanding of the content. Discussions help students develop the skills of knowledge synthesis and integration.
LEARNING STRATEGY 2:
The second learning strategy is through Case studies. Case studies generally enhance student learning through real problem simulations that ensure that the students can think critically and devise a solution to real-world problems (Ichikawa et al., 2020). Besides, case studies allow the students to get the bigger picture of some of the problems they will encounter in the clinical practice. It creates an opportunity for the learners to observe, analyze, record, implement, conclude, summarize or recommend.
LEARNING STRATEGY 3:
The third learning strategy is brainstorming, whereby the nursing educators used to inculcate key concepts and theories whereby learners maximally participate by responding to the views of the topic. This strategy encourages the generation of new ideas among learners which would never be possible under normal scenarios. Brainstorming is effective in either small; or large group of students. To this end, it fosters problem-solving and critical thinking skills which are in line with nursing professional competencies.
