Industrial style:
The industrial style in interior design is an edgy style that has less decoration and more emphasis and exposure of the building’s bare structure and unfinished walls, floor, and ceilings. In industrial style, the construction of the building is never finished.
Minimalist style:
Minimalist style in interior design showcases ultimate simplicity, the minimalism of space, elements, and materials. This style is based on neutral and basic color palette, with more natural light and components, and fewer objects and decorative items. Designers value empty spaces, cleanliness, and simplicity.

- A minimalist style is all about less is more .its famous architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe summarized its minimalist philosophy in a trademark phrase: ‘Less is more.’ Less-is-more refers to the reduction of form to the bare minimum of elements. It’s still used to define minimalism today.
Industrial style:
- Industrial-style interior design was born out of an effort to convert old factories and abandoned warehouses into living space in high-density urban areas where real estate is at a premium. The goal in industrial design is to celebrate the building’s past and showcase the raw materials and structural components that make up space.
BACKGROUND AND – HISTORY
- The minimalist design was originated in the early 20th century. Designers and architects started using it after World War 1 because of the availability of modern materials such as steel, concrete, and others. In the 1960’s it began in the United States .it brings a harmony of space and light. This style of design is considered a foolproof channel in creating a financially right house or building. Furthermore, the primary aim of this style is to obtain a result that never goes out of style. This is achieved through the rationalized sets of well-judged approaches.

The Bauhaus movement originated with an art school in Germany with the goal of promoting mass production and uniting arts and crafts with technology. DESIGN CHARACTERISTICS
Characteristics of Industrial Style
- Materials- plush fabrics are not used.
- Utilitarian hard-working materials are used for source furnishings.
- Materials such as steel, tin, stone, iron, and copper are used to style the homes.
- Colors-neutral colors are used, such as white grey and black, Moody layers are hit with darker tones, and Vibrant art is used to bring contrast to the masculine decor.
- Silhouettes-the shapes which are used for these particular design blocky shapes and square shape that are suitable for utilitarian cohesion, Organic curves are also used to abstract the rather geometrical shapes.
- Accessories-the surfaces are kept clean without much clutter. Contemporary accessories are used. Large wall art metal structures and moving objects are used to bring an abstract to the unique masculine touch.
Characteristics of minimalist style
- Simple in Form and Function. Various minimalist design houses have a straightforward, efficient plan layout containing a stacked volume of space. Simple forms, open floor plans, minimal interior walls, modest storage areas, and an emphasis on views and daylight are defining characteristics of many minimalist floor plans.
- Minimalist styles are uncomplicated cladding, and even the wall finishes. Using a pure continuous exterior cladding material can quickly provide visual appeal and articulation by expressing the physical characteristics of the materials and their texture.
- They are open, clean, and well light-filled spaces. They are well lit and spacious with a fresh outlook that is openly displayed.

· It Has exposed pipes, beams, and ducts. This is actually the signature of the industrial interior design, leaving the structural elements, tubes, pipes presented. It takes courage because it is the opposite of other styles where this infrastructure is invariably hidden
- Light colors and natural tones harmonize and contrast with brushstrokes of black in Diego Revollo’s Industrial Loft. Hot, neutral colors also usually favor these environments that are typically large and open. Above, in the loft “Red hot Chilli Peppers,” Ando-Studio chose the use of navy blue contrasting with natural tones giving warmth to the ample environment.
- Furniture and fixtures define most of the spaces; they are carefully thought out in every detail. Although the trend of this style is minimalist, the areas allow a dramatization. It is possible to mix chrome-plated materials with old, worn parts, where form and function are equally important.
- Contain luminaries and metal pendants. Focal lighting through spots fixed on rails is a good option. Vintage luminaries, contemporary as well as pendant fixtures in metal, are perfect for these rooms. The indirect lighting leaves the atmosphere cozier, with personality.

- You should stick to complimentary hues and bring the not so expected furs, hides and textured styles.

Minimalist Accessories
- The accessories should be collectible and convertible, which shows the personality of the room and makes the space unique to the homeowner.
- Use the tactic of less is more and swaps the pieces in the season to avoid overstaffing effect.
