THE KINGDOM IS FOREVER ISRAELITISH

The Israelites believed in Christian hope in their kingdom. Paul spoke of Israel’s hope in the book of Act.28:20, the Israelites being the first to be promised holy oracles as per the scriptures and the prophecies by prophets. Gentiles were then invited into the kingdom of the Israelites, and they accepted it and were converted to Israelites without effects on the origin of the Israelite’s. All believers of the Gentile nations accepted the Israelite’s hope, nature, and the kingdom

‘s character.

The olive tree represents God’s kingdom, whose branches include the natural branches and the grafted ones. The Olive tree stood for the Jews initially, and the grafted branches were taken from wild trees to replace the branches removed from the original tree. The Israelites were the descendants of the Hebrews ancestors who in the old testament have assured the promises of God ( Rom. 9:1-5). The natural branches of the Olive tree represented the Israelites nation who proclaimed the kingdom of God.

God chose the nation of Israel over all the other nations to be the source of God’s knowledge. Israelites received God’s promises and revelations and were required to reveal God’s message to the other nations as in the book of Romans.2:17-20. From the book of Psalms 147:19-20, it is written that God passed His words first to the Israelites, leaving behind all other nations.

The word of the Lord belonged to the Israelite’s.  Most of the authors inspired to write the scriptures of the 66 books in the bible were Israelites. They wrote it and kept it alive. The Bible became their national book for which the all nation read on all occasions. The Israelites read the bible regularly and captured most of the scriptures at their fingertips that it became so unnatural for one not to master the scriptures.

Peter spoke to the Jews in the book of ACTS.3:25 that they were chosen as children of God by the prophets, included in the covenant between God and Abraham, and that God had sent  Jesus  Christ to outsource his blessings. Peter addressed the Jews in this manner to symbolize that they inherited the kingdom of God and why they were compared with the natural branches of the Olive tree.

In the old and new Testament, Jesus referred to the Jews as the chosen ones of God in all the ministries he made(Matt. 8:12. 21:43). The Jews had been chosen as the children of God, as they were the only nation that understood God’s scriptures. During the period that Jesus was performing his missions, the Gentiles were ignorant of the word and promises of God. The Gentiles did not maintain their characters to the kingdom of God as evidenced in Ephesians.2:12, that they were not included in the promises and covenants of God and also had no hope in God’s word.

Jesus began His ministries in the Jews nation, and He spread the gospel of the kingdom of God to them first. (Matt. 10:5-6. 15:24-. Act. 3:25). The Jews rebelled against the word of God despite being chosen by the Lord as His children. They did not believe in God’s word and promises and therefore seized to be called the children of the kingdom. The rejection of God’s word by the Jews was represented by the natural branches of the olive tree that were cut off and replaced by the wild tree branches grafted to the chopped branches. The grafted branches represented the Gentiles who believed in the word and promises of God. The chopped natural branches symbolized the Jews who were removed from the kingdom for they rejected the words of the Lord. The Gentiles, therefore, were brought into the kingdom of God and took the position that the Jews left.

The Jews were not chased away completely from God’s kingdom as shown by the olive tree, the natural olive tree was not cut down, but some of the branches were cut Romans 11. The cut branches represent those who did not believe in God, and they were isolated so that space is created for the new believers (in this case, the Gentiles). The kingdom remained strong, and one but the components changed.

In the book of Mathew.21:43, the scripture says that the throne of the gospel of the Lord shall be snatched from the Jews who bared no fruit out of the word and given to the nations that bared fruits in it. Romans 11 talks about the kingdom of God and the promises given to Abraham and David. God had built a kingdom of the chosen nation, and when the chosen nation failed to accept the promises and words spoken to them, the kingdom broke off, and new believers joined to complete the mission of God. The new believers’ introduction did not destroy the whole kingdom, but instead, it supported the kingdom by joining those few believers left.

The story of the olive tree’s natural branches and wild tree branches supported that the tree stood firm. The natural olive tree represented the kingdom of God. Romans 11:17 places the Gentiles in the grafted branches’ position, which joined the natural branches (the Jews). The Gentiles joined in believing the word of God and shared in the promises given to the Israelites, shows that the Gentiles brought into the kingdom shared the same hope and faith as the Israelites. Together,  they were termed as children of God. In Deuteronomy’s book, 32:43 urged the  Gentiles to enjoy with the Jews in their kingdom; God intended that all nations would share the same hope with his people.

A PERVERTED GOSPEL

The Gentiles who had been brought into God’s throne changed the gospel of the kingdom of God. They rejected the nature and character portrayed by the Israelites, denied that Jesus settled in Jerusalem to pick up David’s kingdom, and refused to believe in the promised land to Abraham.

Gentiles converted the Jewish scriptures to a new gospel that has no interest in the hope of God. The Gentiles gospel did not reflect God’s promises to Abraham and David as it was established in the original gospel. The new gospel ignored the original version and came up with the human version of the scriptures.

The new gospel interpreted immortality differently. It did not make a belief in resurrection after death upon the second coming of Christ. The traditional belief is that when people die, the soul is immortal. It’s the soul that departs to heaven, that even after death, the immortal beings would still live on earth in the kingdom of God despite the kingdom is far from earth (Jerusalem). The perspective of immortality is that people live externally after death, which is a false hope to  Christianity.

Pagans believed in the principle of the soul’s immortality. The doctrine is included in the pagans scriptures and the writings of the Apostate’s church. In the book of 1st Corinthians.15:51-55, physical resurrection is assured at the second time of Christ coming. The scripture gives hope to the Christians that Jesus Christ will come at the end to raise the living from the dead.

Apostle Paul spoke to the people of God in the book of Galatians. 1:6-9 that anyone who shall preach the false version of the gospel of God shall be cursed, even if they claim that God sends them. Paul’s scriptures say that the gospel of God that they had written under the influence and power of the Holy Spirit shall not change, and if it’s changed, there shall be consequences. Paul emphasized the changing of God’s gospel in the book of Ephesians 4;4 that there was only a single hope after death, that is, resurrection, and rejected the notion that the immortal souls shall depart to heaven at death.

God had promised David that his seed should take the throne in the book of 2nd Samuel.7.Solomon took the throne of the Israelite in the old testament, which was a fulfillment of David’s promise. (1 King. 2:1-4. 8:12-20. 1 Chr. 28:5-10).

The New Testament accounted for Jesus Christ as the fulfillment of the Old Testament promises and prophesies. Jesus said that He was bigger and above Solomon during one of His missions. God used Solomon to rule the people of Israel under the guidance of Jesus’ teachings. Solomon ruled his people with wisdom from the knowledge of God. It implied that the nation was under the kingdom of Christ and that the scripture guiding was that of the nature and character of the old gospel version of the Jews.

The characteristics of Jesus took control of the old testament era. In Hebrews.2:13.Jesus spoke and said that he would trust in the Lord and also those who were chosen by God to have the word and make a nation under the rulings guided by God. The statement is that the believers would apply their trust to Jesus Christ, and Jesus Christ unto the Lord.

God’s promises to David that his throne shall reign over Israel according to the prophecies in 2nd Samuel.7 was fulfilled by Solomon taking over the kingdom. Still, he did not fully complete the prophecy. Arguments for this are as follows:

1.The son promised to David

In the book of 2nd Samuel.7:14, God had promised David that his son would take the leadership from him and that The Lord will be his father, and he shall be His son. In 2nd Samuel 7:12, God promised that he would establish the promised son’s kingdom to rule. In any case, God’s promise to David and the throne did not refer to the kingship as of succession. The promise was applied to Jesus Christ being the son, and the story about the seed that shall take over the throne represented the Messiah as the seed born from a woman. In Galatians verse 16, Christ is the seed. The book of Hebrews argued that the kingdom applied to Christ and not Solomon.

2.Jesus Christ, born by Mary, the descendant of David

Jesus Christ was given birth by the Virgin Mary, who was an indirect descendant of King David. Therefore Jesus as the seed, in the new testament, represented David’s heir and the reason as to why he was sent to the world to rule and spread the gospel of Christ. In Hebrews chapter 7 verse14 and Revelations 5 verse 5 and chapter 22: verse 16, the scriptures say that God Sayed to David (Jesus) would establish a throne in His name and make the throne survive in the coming years and to eternity. The words applied to Jesus Christ as quoted in the new testament from the book of Luke.1:32-33  that the Lord shall give the promised son, the throne of his father David, and shall rule over   Jacob’s house. In. Hebrews.3:1-6, Jesus Christ represents the modern Christian church, and the responsibility of the church is to establish a strong and united kingdom of God.

3.A seed shall be raised upon David’s death

God promised David from the book of 2ND Samuel.7:12 that he shall raise a seed after David dies and rests with his fathers. In this promise, David’s promised son would not come until when  David’s days shall come to an end, indicating that the seed talked of could not be Solomon. The reason is  Solomon ruled the throne even before David died.

  1. David responded to God about the promised seed that shall reign after his throne, that the servant whom the Lord had chosen to rule after David will be fulfilled in the future, meaning that the promise would be evident in the future. It is also evident from David’s response that the words did not apply to Solomon since Solomon entered into the owner while David was still alive and he built his throne four years after the death of King David.

5.In the book of 1st Corinthians.28:7, God said to David, concerning the promised son, that He will continuously establish the kingdom of the promised servant if he keeps and obey the commandments. The words implied that the promised son to David could not be Solomon, for the promised son was expected to be faithful to God’s commandments and be free of sin. It was only Jesus who fulfilled these characteristics. Solomon’s reigns were full of sinful acts as written in 1st King.10:26 to chapter 11. King Solomon did not keep God’s commandments, and his throne lasted for a short period.

  1. The fact that the throne and kingdom would be established forever as quoted from the book of  2ndSamuel.7:13,16, that the seed promised to David would rule forever and that the kingdom would be immortal. It implies that the seed promised would probably refer to Jesus since He is an immortal being, he was raised from the dead and sent to the world, and he shall live forever. This message was revealed to David in the scriptures of Psalms.16:8-11 and Acts.2:22-32.

7   It is evident from the book of 2nd Samuel.7:16 that David witnessed his throne and kingdom founded and established after he died not because he witnessed Jesus ascending to heaven nor himself ascending to heaven but because his kingdom was in Jerusalem. Acts .2:29-36 proves that David did not ascend to heaven to heaven, and he could, therefore, not be in heaven when Jesus ascended. The promise was that as Jesus comes back to earth from heaven, David will have been raised and therefore would witness the kingdom after him. Christ was an immortal being, and in the book ofPsalms.17:15, he said that he would uphold and abide in righteousness.

In my perspective, in all cases, Solomon did not meet the requirements for him to be viewed as the promised seed to David’s throne. The son of God, Jesus Christ, met the promised son’s requirements that would lead the throne forever after David. Jesus was born by Mary, who was a descendant of David, and He obeyed all the commandments completely. We can say that Jesus Christ is the promised eternal seed, kingdom, and throne.
