The Mona Lisa Painting- Leonardo da Vinci

According to the editors of Encyclopedia Britannica, the Mona Lisa Painting by Leonard da Vinci was created in 1503, which was a renaissance period and used a medium of oil paint. Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa painting, sometimes referred to as Lisa del Giocondo, was inspired by the urge of commission for the wealthy merchant from Florentine known as Francesco del Giocondo. The subject in the paint, for instance, is believed to be Lisa Gerardini, Francesco’s wife. Leonardo painted Renaissance art in the time he was living in Florence and hung in Paris, Louvre Museum. Painting with a distant landscape backdrop is an Italian art that provides a visual representation of happiness ideology from the Italian word known as “Gioconda.” It is connected to the landscape of the portrait denoting aspects of human presence. It is therefore linked to the renaissance period where all human activities were included, and that universal values were apprehended. It describes social limitations and universal meanings.

Indeed the Mona Lisa painting is an excellent example of eastern art. It is well presented based on its points of values and the message it denotes during the renaissance period of art.  Leonardo’s formal way of presentation is fixed to increased dignity of art in addition to educating artists on how to create a new formula in art. The Mona Lisa painting is concrete, monumental, and more poetic. His work is linked to the inner soul, which is expressed via inscriptions, symbolic objects, and gestures. It is a living enigma, as explained by the National Committee for Cultural Heritage in Italy (Richman-Abdou Kelly, 5). To Leonardo, the Mona Lisa painting was a symbol of strength and peace and a stance to God. Indicated his relationship with Christianity and that he is not only a student of the Bible but also a follower of Ancient Egyptian Knowledge. Generally, I had a Dionysian Experience while researching about The Mona Lisa Painting. My personal and emotional reactions were fixed to the different styles and mediums that Leonardo used in his painting. His painting is connected to the aspect of humanities, which introduces chapters such as the Renaissance period. Indeed, it is a unique piece of art that exploits unique human smiles via his shadow work. Hence I would recommend it as it further gathers the attention of the viewers based on the hidden meanings it possesses.
