The rise of artificial intelligence

Artificial intelligence focuses on the use of machines to mimic human actions through intricate programming to initiate the achievement of specific goals. With global resources becoming depleted in the contemporary world, the objective of humanity remains survival. It would most likely increase the use of machines in performing most of the activities. Therefore, AI has numerous benefits to the society that warrants its utilization, including virtual customer assistance, where there is a large number of people. This allows the business owners to initiate a prediction and response to customer inquiries in a prompt manner. It utilizes a voice recognition system and a human dialog that helps in easy identification of the people.  Secondly, AI enables quick decision making from the voluminous data available in the current world.  It uses computer technology to select the best combinations and permutations so that the best possible decision remains the case. AI is also useful in fraud detection; online cash transaction has become prominent, increasing the possibilities of fraudulent activities. However, AI provides a system that allows for the detection of fraudulent issues.

AI can contribute significantly towards saving humanity from the pressures of climate change and the depletion of resources experienced. Climate scientists affirm that climate change is a big data problem; thus, a better AI is required. Moreover, there are two areas of research that would help offset climate change, increasing the earth’s ability to reflect sunlight and removal of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. In this regard, the data modeling and analysis tasks of the AI will provide an ideal condition for finding a solution to such a problem. Secondly, AI can help in the easy exploration of space as it helps in the provision of autonomous decisions amidst intricate conditions. This is supported by undergoing microbiome research on understanding the prospects of the earth. Finally, AI is contributing to the multiplication of human intelligence, thus helping us gain insight into potential future homes and opportunities that the human species can explore to guarantee survival.

AI remains pervasive in the daily lives of contemporary people on many occasions but particularly in large organizations. The first is the cloud volumes that rapidly prototype new projects so that there can be movement of AI data from and to the cloud. Second is the use of software for IoT activities. Individuals often utilize such devices and aggregations points to access data for day-to-day activities. Moreover, there is the initiation of dialog on a webpage synonymous with most internet users and utilizes a chatbot.  The interaction with the computer is a form of a specialized AI that communicates with individuals. Therefore, the entire interaction base on an AI system initiated to effects data exchanges. We also have the credit card application where the AI has seen extensive use in the detection of fraud. AI  works to detect the creditworthiness as well as a real-time check on the fraudulent transactions that may occur in real-time.

The consequences of using AI include faster access and analysis of data. AI performs a quick check on particular data such that an individual quickly accesses it. Secondly, it creates an interaction-free environment with the computer, thus enabling feedback obtainace in real-time. Finally, it has limited the fraudulent issues synonymous with the use of credit cards, thus ensuring free cashless transactions among societies.

I believe that, to some extent, we should fear the use of AI in society. First, the method in virtual customer assistance has a likelihood of providing insufficient information concerning a commodity. Similarly, it would result in more job losses for people who would be replaced by computers, thus increasing pressure of societies on the need for job creation. Moreover, the use of machines poses a possibility of hacking into people’s privacy and even be weaponized, thus may cause danger to the survival of humanity in such conditions.  Also, the design of machines follows the lowest possible risk and the least possible casualties under ideal conditions. However, there is a possibility of failure to cause harm.

The AI should not be gender-specific, being that its application transcends humanity regardless of gender. Most robots made simulate women; thus, women are seen to be predominant in most AI programs, particularly because of beauty or tender voice appealing to the people. However, basing AI on one gender will most likely impede the progress of such to cater for most global challenges. Males and females are inter-related and would most likely help one another in developing effective AI programs. Moreover, the global problems affect the entire population and initiate their ability to survive; thus, it would be unfortunate to be gender-specific on AI.

The future of AI is promising, as it remains important in providing knowledge to most of the global populations. Additionally, the use of the internet has become predominant as well as the search for knowledge regarding the globe; People would, therefore, turn to AI as the primary medium for accessing information and making complex decisions on how the global challenges can obtain solutions. For example, the use of self-driving cars that uses AL has become predominant in the contemporary age, and more people will most likely prefer such cars to ordinary ones. Moreover, the globe populations are growing obsessed with information from outer space, but it is difficult to deploy people to such regions. Therefore, more robots will most likely be sent to increase our knowledge about the galaxy and our chance for survival.

Movies and fiction, in general, have been the epitome of AI, showing what the globe can achieve through AI that has not yet been achieved. Movies are for entertainment, thus would display what appeals to the viewers. For example, sexy female robots in the machine show a perfect woman that a man would want for his sexual desires. This proves that with AI, an individual can model systems commensurate with his or her needs, one can make a woman simulating the ideal woman that he may have required in real life. The other stereotype of destroying the world shows the potential of robots in destroying a community when care is not taken. AI robots have unique intelligence and ability that can initiate true destruction of an entire people when ethics do not dictate its use. In real life, for example, virtual customer assistance often has the voice of a woman, thus the stereotype that soft robots are male while warlike robots are male. Therefore, I believe that stereotypes follow the construct of societies and the worldview of humans.

The Ex Machina film is an indication of women’s suffrage and agitation for the freedoms and powers that women are rarely allowed to have. Similarly, the seductiveness of robots shows the role of sexuality in women. The main objective remains to peddle the gender stereotype that has limited females from freedom isolating the futuristic aspect that most movies are supposed to justify. The woman is a pleasure model, mostly catering to wealthy males and are treaded like the car. The females are programmed to flirt and have weapon breasts showing how sexual bullying still dominates society.

On the objectification of women, the movie puts a woman in the societal context of the subjectivity to a man. The robot is made in the form of women based on the requirements of men. It is evident that societies consider men as superior while women as their objects; thus, the film is an epitome of a man fantasizing on the capability to make a woman satisfy their sexual desires and remain within the context of their needs.

On sexuality and gender roles, the film shows men keeping the clothes on while the women do not show how the woman has been subjected as a sexual tool for the man. Moreover, the attractiveness of a woman is key as the robot is created to give the male viewers an eyeful flesh of a woman. It asserts that a perfect woman is who obliges to the sexual requirements of a man with those going against the tradition punished.  For example, the metropolis robot Maria is burnt to maintain the status quo of a man. Thus the AI robots stereotyped on gender disparities in societies.
